Unicorn alert ... best looking year WRX sedan the Hawkeye 2007, WRB ... fastest color, only 175K kms, not too molested, COBB this/COBB that, HELLA horned, tuned, not sure what to make of the James Webb universe picture roof liner, tacky taste in license plate holder but ... $10,500 (pretty reasonable ask). And may fit Snowfarmer's criteria.
Mrs snowfarmer may have something to say about this.

Might consider it, did a bunch of maintenance stuff to it recently and it got got vandalized parked outside by the skytrain. Had no where to park it except on the streets that week
For sale is a mechanically solid e46 330ci. Low KMs, decent service history and some bolt-on mods means it drives very tight. Ready to go now as a fun daily driver, with some continued weekend work as-needed.
Details:
- 163,500 KMs (purchased at 157,300)
- 3.0l M54 straight 6
- 5 speed manual
- Very straight body, no rust and clean
- Paint looks completely original
- Very dry engine (no major leaks)
-eBay headers (catless), AFE Intake, single-mass clutch
- Comfort seats (sport seats included)
Major service items during my ownership:
- New Battery 157,300km
- Exhaust mid-pipe replacement (157,400km)
- Oil & Filter (157,500km)
- Motor mounts and transmission mounts (157,650km)
- CCV (PCV), Intake cleaning, intake manifold and TB gaskets, Lower intake boot (158,200km)
- Expansion Tank, upper/lower rad hoses (161,000kms)
- L/R front control arms (162,000km)
- Wheel alignment (162,250km)
Previous owner:
- Single-mass clutch replacement/upgrade (unknown KMs)
- eBay catless headers and secondary air pump delete (unknown KMs)
- AFE intake (unknown KMs)
- Brake service (unknown KMs, lots of life letf)
- GT Radial Performance all-season tires
Not a perfect car:
- Consumes oil/puffs blue occasionally (oil top-ups every 750kms)
- Sunroof inoperable (left cassette is seized)
- A/C belt is off (unknown whether system is charged)
- Horn inoperable (haven't looked into this)
- Lots of minor cosmetic issues interior and exterior
Bottom line:
This is a dependable, fun daily driver. I drove 1200+kms in past two weeks (trips to Whistler and Kelowna). Come take a look at it with the expectation that you can take this car home and enjoy it immediately while addressing non-critical service items on the weekends.
Included in sale is a pair of vinyl power sport seats (for e46) in very good condition. I never got around to installing them
That sounds like a complete fucking pile. Topping up oil every 750kms?
A positive is the seller sounds honest?
If the CCV has been replaced, blue smoke could be a sign of bad piston rings. M54s 3L motors do consume oil over time, but assuming that a "top-up" is 1L, 1L/750KMs is excessive. The prospective buyer should ask the owner if they've done a compression test recently.
Everything else on that cons list is minor for a BMW of that vintage.

Oil top up every 750km is pretty normal (BMW states 1L/1000km is normal). I have experienced 1L/750km. I rebuilt the DISA valve, VANOS, and started running Rotella 5W40 and it was fine. My car lasted 60K km under my ownership, 2 auto-x, 2 track days, and a bunch of goofing around.
Sunroof inoperable - common issue. Easy fix. Plenty of DIY on E46Fanatics
A/C Belt - replace all the belts, pulleys, tensioners. Remember that the big fat bolt is one time use. That one is expensive.
Horn - most likely just died. Plenty of parts around. My lowhorn stopped working after awhile.

Everyone has some weird car they inexplicably wanted in the past... or several... I used to draw photos as a kid of the convertible version of this car, no idea why now LOL... but gee this thing is as clean as it gets and very reasonable priced:
