haha, freeloading nephew and his very very skanky girlfriend. Picking up skanks in Calgary. Great ad! Although diesel fuel doesn't ignite like he thinks it would.
From the engine bay picture, it looks like a B18B1
did you call the seller yet? no mileage listed, maybe because of the speedo issue (vss broken?)
i know the valve covers are similar, but could that also be a b20 from a crv? but regardless of what it is, this ad dosen't feel right because i would have thought an engine swap would have been a more major selling point than the extra wheels...

I called and he is not clear on if he got a VI on it or not because he got pulled over by the cops before.

Yeah I called the guy and he said speedometer isn't working. I think he has a VI on it since he mentioned bringing it to Canadian Tire. 270k kms on the odometer, he said the speedometer stopped working 2 weeks ago
When I asked about the engine and if it was stock, he replied "yes". I honestly think he's not mechanically savvy and previous owner may have swapped it. Someone should still go check it out if they want a potentially B-swapped beater

weird. at first glance, i don't see anything in the pictures that warrants a VI... i guess if all the usual VIN and mechanical checks are good it could be a good buy? i know aircare is over but are they still keeping records with the mileage?

The SIR, has a f20 which makes it kinda desirable to people who likes that car. The other one is just a standard accord. The JDM accords were the pre-tsx accords, smaller and more nimble. The only problem with these accords are parts are hard to come by as they use a bit of 5th gen and a bit of 6th gen parts.

Accord Sir comes with a F20B. Only the Euro R has the 220hp H22a.

H22A is found in the Euro-R (CL1) , which looks similar in many ways.
