I've been eyeing that maz but then the blue with tan is kinda a weird colour combo.

Just brutal fit and finish.

90% you're paying for the badge, 5% the performance and 5% the looks.

these cars are all fucking huge jokes.

trollface 10-20-2022 04:40 PM

Sounds more like California than 458 :lawl:

well since the rise of EV's the performance marker has been pushed so far ahead that even family SUV's are doing 0-60 in sub 5 seconds. Kinda make these old "super cars" completely irrelevant when you get dusted by a model 3.

Dbone 10-21-2022 09:40 AM

Straight line acceleration is only one piece of performance.
Performance is only one piece of how we perceive a car.

I like EVs, but electric supercars seem like a waste of time to me.

trollface 10-21-2022 09:58 AM

Super Cars are a full package.

A 5L mustang with a Wu Tang War Whistle/Spoolius Caesar/Mongolian motor Mangler/Hiroshima Hairdryer will do insane 0-60, but I don't think anyone compares them to Super Cars.

TopsyCrett 10-21-2022 10:21 AM

enough supercar talk

Well, at least 1 person forgot those cars were only sold to be disposable.

The clutch/shifter on those 5 spd ones is so rubbery and awful, if you ever wanted to know how a truck would drive as a car where even truck owners let out a general sigh of malaise when operating it… this is definitely your jam. Or Alamo… one of the two.

The Sunfire of the gen looked so much better. Especially the one with quad round lamps for turn signals and fogs. It had that aftermarket look while being OEM.

Yeah the usual exotic car crap, white powder, pubic hair, plastic packaging from either condoms and or cigarettes/ cigars, etc etc.

jaaagman 10-23-2022 05:26 PM

What do y'all think of this? I suspect it may have been tracked, judging by the mods. The price is quite low for an NC2 PRHT.

2011 mazda miata mx-5

condition: good
drive: rwd
fuel: gas
odometer: 106100
paint color: red
size: compact
title status: clean
transmission: manual
type: convertible

Fun little 2011 red Miata MX5 with auto hard top roof! Very zippy little car and a smooth ride with new struts. Decided on a newer model Miata and selling this one.

Good question. Price was low - I’m sure lower than kbb. This might be a candidate for inspection. He just split for 6 weeks holidays - I doubt he regi’d before he left. I’ll find out

Depends if you want to go hardcore with the car. Some groups don't allow you out on track without a roll bar and there's only one available for the PRHT. You can forget about trying to fit in it with a helmet unless you are like 5'2.

Well... I can't comment on price, but the NC2/3 are the preferred option if you plan on keeping the (2.0L) engine. The PRHT is a little heavier than the softtop, and finding the right aftermarket suspension for it can be a little more tricky (since ideally, you want to account for the extra weight in the rear springs, but many coilover / springs makers don't do that). But the engine and tranny are supposed to be very hardy, and being a facelifted car, they have the improved engine and tranny too.

If things check out, then why not?

The car already has a roll bar installed.
