Is the convertible setup an OEM job or was it done by that California company that did third party vert conversions on a bunch of cars in the 90's? That might explain why it's in miles.

Ignorant Car sales people being car sales people.
IIRC it was dodge stealth only and not the mitsu 3000GT here.
I'm reading it as a resident here went over and bought the car there and brought it back.

American Specialty Car (the California company) designed it for Mitsubishi

@donk why are you failing that post? I don't see anything wrong with it, and tofu is right. The 3000GT was never sold new in Canada. Mitsubishi didn't even enter the Canadian market before the 3kGT production ended.

This vert ratrolla will be getting some proper “touring tires” instead of these pointlessly expensive run flat Michelin pilot super sports. I mean wtf is the point of putting such a high performance tire on a 4500lb monster ?
I've known the seller for almost 10 years though we haven't talked much since Covid. Thing is babied and barely driven. He's a mechanic and knows these cars inside out. Definitely not a good buy perse but it's 1 of 1829 and these never came to Canada.
Is this thing going to be like a Saab in the future where engine parts are easily available, but if you get a fender bender or something than your car’s written off because they don’t make the body panels anymore ?
^No... the GTO was a bad marketing attempt to bring the previous model Holden over using a storied name.
The next gen they called the G8 to give the car it's own nameplate off the next gen Holden.
Unfortunately in Canada all we ever got were the V6 and regular V8 models... GXP was USA only and super rare, especially in manual. Little bit unfortunate that this one is an automatic.
You can also get a very similar car in the Chevrolet SS that barely anyone knows existed (also USA only).
