It’s not even a metal top on that rad, that’s not rust

The 2022's are skyrocketing up being the last year, they're as much as $400k+ now in the USA...

But 2017-2019 models have lost at least $20-30,000 off their asking prices in the last 4 months... 2017 especially some are asking like $120k now in USA

At those prices they're a WAY better car than, say a 997.2 Porsche which is about the same money... just my opinion...

I thought you were you were talking about Miatas at first. $400k for a Miata?!? What?

headhunt3r 12-12-2022 02:36 PM

It's not rust, but there's plenty of anecdotes of brown/green rads blowing up. For a couple hundred to replace, it's a worthy insurance from being stranded in the summer.

Still though, for a sunburst yellow NA in great condition that's a good asking price.

jaaagman 12-12-2022 02:53 PM

Great deal for an NA Miata in today's market. Seems like everyone with a high mileage rust bucket clapper think their's is worth 9k...

ah - it has pics now. my brother was trying to get ahold of this guy last week

love x-runners. perfect M/C haulers. little lower for easy bike loading. Pretty cool looking too.

GIZZ 12-14-2022 01:06 PM

He has an R plate on it. Might have got it for cheap to free, keep that in mind when making an offer.

If your brother ends up getting it, upgrade the brakes. They are comically small for a vehicle of that size and weight (10.8" diameter with a single piston caliper / rear drums). Also the TRD short shifter kit is still available :)

The four foot long bubble? All that metal is jacked.

That whole quarter is gonner under that paint.

bcrdukes 12-19-2022 01:45 PM

I feel that CRX is underpriced, guys. The 4-foot long rust bubble adds character of its resilience and adds a tremendous amount of character, adding to collectability. Should be more like $28,000. You guys are so silly. Totally missing out. They don't know what they have.

not a phenomenal buy... but this snow made me wish i had one of these to hoon around in.

roastpuff 12-21-2022 12:42 PM

Wondering how you work that shifter... thought it was hydraulic e-brake at first.

EvoFire 12-21-2022 03:08 PM

CAE makes some amazing shifters, the shifter itself is about 1200USD.

it just controls the factory cable shift - albeit in a more precise way

it's raised up to make it easier to access - like a rally car.

it's not really any different from the shift box that's under your center console - other than the lockouts etc.

super cool part - but it's not really here in the build for more functionality.

CAE make the best ones in the business for many applications - and the earliest commercially available ones AFAIK (there are plenty of clones now)

I saw this get traded in at one of our dealers, not really a good buy per-se but cool to see a pretty much a New-Old-Stock 1st gen CLS Lol. I was amazed at how clean it is. 12,000KM on the ODO.

Probably a buy ... not good per se but these rarely show up. Definitely some negotiating on the price but fwiw.

If you like that I've got a white 2009 4 door civic Si with Sub 150km's which I'd be willing to part ways with for around the same money.

Rich

whitev70r 12-23-2022 03:49 PM

^ I think yours would prob fit under a 'good buy'. I don't know what all the rage is about the CSX Type S vs. Civic Si ... a few more bells and whistles, leather? But CSX Type S rarely goes on sale and this one has ~ 2x the mileage of yours.

I think if you really want to sell your 4 Dr Civic Si with that low mileage, you should have no problems ... maybe for a little bit more in today's market.

TopsyCrett 12-23-2022 06:34 PM

^ subjective, but the CDM / JDM front and rear just looks thaaaat much better IMO. Which I am sure is an easy swap anyways.

tofu1413 12-23-2022 09:16 PM

Blue CSX. Flipper car.

Went to see it when last owner was cutting it at 6500. Ended up being a bidding war so I walked.

trollface 12-24-2022 09:19 AM

Been for sale for 6 months. Buddy going to be holding on that for a while.

Always loved these first gen CLS but had a good family friend buy one as a daily for when he had to travel to cali for work. Bought what he thought was a reasonable deal spent like 25-30k one one about 10-12 years ago low KM

After using it for the first 8 months or so 7-10 days a month, it was in the shop more often than he was driving it until one day he tried to pull it out of the garage and it wouldn’t start period. After a week in the mechanic they figured the electronics required to get it running properly would cost more than the car was worth lol
