I must admit I like the look of this old thing. If restored properly she’s a beauty ! So much road presence. Paint it in greyhound livery and you got yourself a bona fide American classic.

NOT a good buy but ... more of a rare nostalgic buy category. These are hard to value .. not even sure what a good buy price would be, $20K?

2006 Subaru WRX STI, best looking year, 144K kms, $26500

may as well - good buys, on anything interesting are few and far between these days

winter is still a good time to score a bike though. big miles on this one, but the bodywork looks good.

nostalgia for me - my brother and my buddy bought brand new 2000 R1's. I had my R6 at the time.

"Selling my 1998 Yamaha R1 due to haven breaking my neck."

What

snowfarmer 02-07-2023 09:54 AM

Holy fak, that is a good deal. The used bike market is still totally effed, good deals are few and far between. Stock turn signals and a stock plate mount and that thing could be collector plated this year.

strangely satisfying to see such a nice one.

Badhobz 02-07-2023 12:35 PM

That’s really clean. The light blue is perfect too. Too bad it ain’t a stick. Otherwise it’ll be the ultimate Camry

68style 02-07-2023 12:51 PM

For 1/3rd the price of a self-driving upgrade to your Tesla 3 you can drive the epitome of cockroach automobilia... a car that's been known to put people to sleep just touching the hood.

I'm curious about the missing cigarette lighter and double air fresheners though haha

"Whenever I'm suffering from insomnia, I just look at a picture of a Toyota Camry and I'm straight off" - Jeremy Clarkson

Tapioca 02-07-2023 01:06 PM

The 92-96 Camry is peak Camry IMHO. Quality materials that still hold up today and bulletproof reliability. Surprisingly nimble as well, considering it's a family sedan.

We had the 4-cylinder variant for years and it never let us down.

Badhobz 02-07-2023 01:33 PM

I drove one everyday to the CN rail yard. That thing never let me down. Leaked 1qt of oil every 5k but who cares. Never missed a beat.

tofu1413 02-07-2023 05:46 PM

my friend's family friend had a 4 cylinder of that gen. didnt change oil for 4 years... when they pulled the drain plug, nothing came out....... yet the car ran like a clock.

it was insane.

EvoFire 02-07-2023 08:22 PM

The 4cylinders are cockroaches, or worse. The V6's need some care.

jaaagman 02-09-2023 10:22 AM

Is the wiring harness replacement a bit sus? I know Mercs had issues with the biodegradable wiring harness, but not Lexus... Could be a sign of an previous rat infestation?

Lexus ES300 - $4,200

2000 lexus es300
condition: good
cylinders: 6 cylinders
drive: fwd
fuel: gas
odometer: 115260
paint color: custom
size: full-size
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
type: sedan

Great running car
Second owner, first owner was little old lady for the first 21 years, only sold it after she couldn't drive anymore
No accidents, engine runs strong. Wiring harness replaced at Lexus on Terminal last year (have receipts.)
No longer need a second car

Badhobz 02-09-2023 10:58 AM

^thats probably it. she never drove it, rats chewed everything up. Dang thing only has 115,000kms for a 23 year old car. 2 more years and you can slap collectors plate on it.

These things are the same as Tofu's camry. indestructible

68style 02-09-2023 11:18 AM

The *only* problem with those cars is the valve seals on the V6 engine... that's literally it.

If it sat for a long time and you're interested in the car, when you go check it out make sure the engine is cold so you cold start it and get someone to watch for a puff of blue out the back on startup... if so that's valve seals.

It's not the end of the world or a super expensive repair especially if you do it yourself, but it's something to be aware of on this engine.

tofu1413 02-09-2023 11:52 AM

posting gone.

probably gonna be flipped real fast.

Badhobz 02-09-2023 12:00 PM

He's still around / lurking, I've dealt with him on some engines a couple times in the past half year he's a top notch dude

whitev70r 02-09-2023 05:57 PM

westopher 02-09-2023 06:04 PM

LOL 245k.
That's full retard. That person deserves 15k. Was it a fucking taxi cab?
Wait one says 24.5 one says 245k. Difference between worst deal and good buy

whitev70r 02-09-2023 06:13 PM

There is a pic of the odometer, it is 24.5K kms ... poster/seller not the sharpest pencil in the bin. See carfax.

westopher 02-09-2023 06:18 PM

In that case, pretty awesome. I wish we could have got an R, but we really needed the extra room of the golf wagon. It's so goddamn boring to drive though.
