@Bic_baws - What's the issue with the F30s?

I've not spent much time in one so I'm genuinely curious.

Oh I just hate the interior. Especially pre-lci F30s. It just looks like they took a trim kit out of an Alibaba catalogue. Disgusting.

I once got some seat time in my friend's courtesy car. It was an F30 330i. It had some M-sport appearance package (so fancy looking 18" wheels and some miscellaneous M badges scattered around the exterior), but a cheapo injection molded plastic steering wheel where you could feel the injection line! The rest of the interior was also nothing to write home about, and felt very un-BMW like and plasticky. At least the 8 speed and 2.0T felt decent.

F30 interiors are nothing to write home about, but they are functional, and at least so far, haven't peeled like a E90 either.

I really really dislike the E90 interior.

Have owned/still own an E9x, E46, and E30 - E46 > E90 without a doubt. E30 above both but it's double the price these days so not a fair comparison

2007 Cayman, high mileage at 241K kms, but for $19K, has history of collision but not rebuilt, clean title ... interesting daily to whip around? Ratrolla blue wrapped.

I did valve cover gaskets at the dealership as well (35,000kms on it) and it was a 8 grand job.

I really wonder how those old 190e 300e drives I just remember briefly sitting in one when I was a kid. You never see them anymore for some reason when they are supposedly built like tanks, you see more old BMW, w140 than the old e.

You know a car was taken care of when it's got 1991 Fender stickers, bronze wheels on one side, and silver on the other, and they don't match either. 12 spoke on the passenger side, 5 spoke on the drivers.

Bonus quality wrap job. I don't put too much faith in the rest of the car when they can't be bothered to get this right.

mismatching wheels doesnt mean its not a good buy. you just do your due diligence and get a inspection before hand.

Let's be real. What am I going to do with 4 wheels that don't match? I can't sell them. What sane person does that unless they were super cheap or smashed the piss out of one side and had to throw some wheels on it?

Then what?

Spend 3k on wheels and tires and hope the mismatched wheels/tire combo was the same size and didn't nade the AWD?
