I've seen higher mileage 5 speed NC1's at 10k or below, but GT's were 12-13k pre-pandemic. An NC2 at $16k is a steal if everything checks out. I still think they're the best bang for your buck in terms of Miatas. NC2/NC3 PRHT's are $20-30k...
You don't really want a 5sp car if you plan to do anything with it other than cruise in a convertible. The 5sp doesn't get the LSD, and I don't see anyone doing a full teardown becauseracecar build, you are going to want that LSD.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

My ownership of this vehicle was over a decade ago. There are several factors one can make assumptions on what makes up the asking price, but I will let the public be the judge of that. I don't own the vehicle anymore so whoever owns it now can ask whatever they want for it.

looks clean. engine bay is pretty - and no mods. #ASCgang
OP should put the stock wheel back in (tbf stated as included in the ad). it's like he did 99% of the work to appeal to a purist and tripped at the finish line.
sold for 10k 10 years ago? - it's illegal to ask even a dollar more than that then /s
Yeah it's an auto with comfort seats, but it's getting tougher to find a clean E46 with the 3.0 these days. Seems like a very clean example and it appears that all of the maintenance has been taken care of. Just in time for summer and a good candidate for collectors plates in a couple of years. Great car to have in your stable/collection.

2008 sc430, no accidents, only had 57,000kms on it. Whatttttt?!?!?
35k is a bit steeep but given the condition it’s not a half bad buy if you wanted the best of the best Lexus cruisers.
as the only chinaman i know who loves cadillacs with a passion, that STS-V is hot as hell. I just dont know anything about the northstar v8 other than i heard they were giant pieces of shits.
And... maybe some icing on the cake for someone? They only made 642 of these in 2007, so this vehicle qualifies for collector's plates at 15 years old (which it already is)
I don't think all Northstars were born alike, have to read more to see if this is one of the troublesome ones haha... at least this one is rear wheel drive so it's more serviceable
edit: looks like they sorted the issues before this particular engine design... and in fact this is a closed deck engine, pretty impressive... people are saying the drivetrain is the least of your concerns on this thing, it's the ancillary stuff like alternators and electronics and gadgets that make you sad
Asking the BMW experts... how good / bad is the E82 cabrio with an N55 engine? So far I've found the usual BMW plastics issues, high pressure fuel pump, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket, etc. Most of this seems typical BMW stuff. Are there reasons to stay away from these?
