For comparison, there's an 04 red 330 vert 6 speed 100km in good looking shape asking just under 16 on Facebook but no mention of any cooling system overhaul or gaskets done.

tofu1413 05-09-2023 10:31 PM

Good shape, good color. 9500 is fair ask if the car is truly turn key.

This seems pretty low in terms of price ... 2020 Tesla 3 SR+, 159K kms, $27K. Didn't mention that it was rebuilt or anything.

Yikes. That’s nuts in 3 years.

whitev70r 05-10-2023 02:34 PM

in the post, he said he commuted to Abbotsford ... but yah, that's a lot of $$$ saved on gas for him.

That's a use case where an EV really makes sense. He would have taken a massive hit with depreciation on any car with that much mileage anyways, so the EV saving his gas money just works. At say $100 a tank of gas for 650 gentle efficient highway km, a regular car would have cost her $24k just in fuel, nevermind the consumables.

trollface 05-10-2023 04:09 PM

That and if it has Autopilot, he can tape two pepperoni sticks to the steering wheel and take a nap

prudz 05-10-2023 06:21 PM

lol'd at "two pepperoni sticks to the steering wheel"

Alright team I have a co-worker from Sri Lanka whos looking for a ~$5k 4DR automatic DD.

Help me source something as they're not very used car savy, and was going to buy a car from a kingsway dealership.

Corollas or Civics are ideal, but not against others. Reliability is the key, since they're not mechanically inclined.

radeonboy 05-10-2023 07:09 PM

Not too many options at $5k nowadays, but probably the best condition Corolla you can find at that budget.

Badhobz 05-10-2023 07:27 PM

5grand to 10grand buddy guy should look for a used Lexus ES. They are surprisingly cheap as most people look at corollas / civics / Camrys. The ES remains somewhat of a unknown reliable boat.

Only caveat is the back seats don’t fold down so it’s not that practical.

PRICE FIRM only serious inquiries. Tire kickers and low ballers will be politely ignored. regularly maintained and well-cared after. It is in perfect condition. The title is clean and has never been involved in a collision. Air conditioner is blowing cold, and the vehicle is local. Sadly, there is a family situation, hence the reason for selling.

Might be okay if the engine has already been replaced with a new replacement from Honda. But in general never buy a 2006-2009 civic due to porous block castings. 17+ years later, they are still failing. Timebomb.

twitchyzero 05-11-2023 11:35 AM

if it fails, free replacement?

or honda said ha! ya right..

That ad is so blatantly fake.

was free for 10 years, as long as it wasn't a rebuild.

at one point I'd see them daily, maybe one every other month now.

trollface 05-12-2023 07:05 PM

Wait a sec, I was told hondas were bullet proof.
