LOL they charged you $50 to put your plate on. I would have burned that place to the ground.

Badhobz 05-26-2023 05:33 AM

This is what happens when you let your wife take the car in for service.

The price... I mean... he can ask whatever he wants I suppose, it's a manual M3 with a measly 35,000kms on it... but this ad brought a small tear to my eye how amazingly well detailed it is.

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...623739659.html

I mean.. he included part numbers for every tiny thing he changed or put on it ffs!!! Part numbers!

Badhobz 05-26-2023 08:17 AM

That’s dedication. But ultimately fruitless I think.

No way he’s gonna get that kinda money unless the market for e46 m3s pickup to the 50-60k on being a trailer. Then he can command that kind of pricing on a low km / pristine one

westopher 05-26-2023 10:43 AM

They totally do on BAT for that milage, even into high 90s but none are black on black early models.
It's all great colour, ZCP cars.

68style 05-26-2023 11:02 AM

Yah I think based on a bit of research on BAT that his more realistic asking price is in the $60,000 range... not accounting for his mods, which actually make it less attractive in this case I think. He'd be better off to remove the hood/trunk for example and put it back to factory to sell.

O really ?! I thought they were all in the 20-30s. I should really research before talking outta my ass. FeelsBadMan

I rather have a e90 M3 and e60 m5 and have change to do the rod bearings

The Producer 05-26-2023 11:40 AM

that's an interesting car. immaculate presentation. clearly a fastidious owner.

yet completely misunderstands that to command that kind of money and attention, the car needs to be stock. Which he could easily do.

That car could be a BAT record breaker if it was marketed differently.

I also saw this and loved how detailed his ad is. Definitely my kind of person. If I was in the market for one, I'd buy it. I think The Producer said you sell the buyer not the car. This is a great example of selling the buyer.

But also agreed that the car should be stock when asking for the premium.

How? E90 M3 is 40K and E60 M5 is also 40K. Even if you found cheaper examples of both, you wouldn't have change after all the maintenance you would have to do BEFORE the RB... like the SMG in the M5. And if you wanted a manual M5, you're spending a lot more than 40K unless you buy Matt's manual swapped M5.

Bad hobs, mt m3

JDMDreams 05-26-2023 12:40 PM

I'm sure you can get these all for under asking

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ibextid=dXMIcH

no one is gonna pay $39k for a e60 m5

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn...617715154.html

$25k for e39

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bnc...617394757.html

$30 for a e93.

Still under $70k, and I rather have a driver than a garage queen that I over paid for and can't drive to keep the mileage down

68style 05-26-2023 12:43 PM

That E39 is so fuckin beat lol... not even driver level beat... beater beat.

to be fair - the seller states that it has cosmetic flaws. He's not hiding anything.

also this seller is a meticulous record keeper.

it's a high mile used car, and priced below the current E39 M5 market by a lot. If you want a better one, prepare to spend 35-45 these days.

disclaimer: seller is a buddy, and I've been around, and driven this car myself many times.

A bit down on power but fun to drive. Tons of room too !

Good choice. No stupid TCM issues to deal with. LmK if you need parts. Buddy parts 07-09 MZ3's, regularly.

tofu1413 05-26-2023 02:33 PM

Yeah. One less thing to go wrong, plus these cars eat bushings and control arms…. Since they’re literally mazda 3S with bigger and heavier bodies without any real suspension changes.

It could use bigger front brakes and MS3 should bolt on iirc.

MS3 rear sways
MS3 center brace
MS3 front brakes

Koni FSD is supposed to ride really well on these as well.

bcrdukes 05-26-2023 09:12 PM

I run Koni FSD (or now known as the Special Active) on my 986 Boxster S. Very nice, compliant ride.

a bit strange how it has 00-03 NON M silver housing headlights installed as well. The silver housing headlamps came standard on 330ci models, never on the m3's

And the mismatched tires... Conti in the rear, Mich in the front.
