JDMDreams 07-08-2023 09:44 AM

Lol these used to go for like $4000 I doubt he'll get half his asking

68style 07-08-2023 04:53 PM

A 528 sedan used to go for $4k

A manual 528 estate would have been a $10k car…

But here we are……..

I LOL'd at the salesman's name... HOMER... ahahahha

Didn't this car kinda get panned in all the reviews tho? I remember getting unexcited about it in a real hurry.

Badhobz 07-11-2023 10:30 AM

People were expecting another IS-F, when it turned out that it wasn't, people got less excited.

This is basically a big engine in an IS350, a soft luxo-cruiser. Not a track-ready car. Would be a fun daily, with personality. Dated interior/features.

JDMDreams 07-11-2023 11:18 AM

Isn't that what an ISF is? Is with big engine? What's wrong with it? The reliable m3 c63, even though the numbers never matched

Badhobz 07-11-2023 12:11 PM

its a halfway house for battered german/italian enthusiast.

Good enough for its core function as a luxo-speedy-GT car. In the same guise as the RC-F or the IS-F.

nothing wrong with that if thats what you are expecting. Just dont think its a porsche and you'll be okay.

IS-F had more "track" focused stuff like brakes and suspension tuning, compared to the IS500. This is more like a M340i, IMO.

tofu1413 07-11-2023 02:27 PM

Nice daily for any car enthusiast.

Four door GT car. I do think it deserves bigger brakes though.

Weren't you looking to get one? Did you actually end up buying?

roastpuff 07-11-2023 03:57 PM

Yes I was looking, but I did not end up getting. Price was going to be too much for what it was - I could've gotten a X3M or last gen F80 M3 for the price they wanted and those are much more car for the money.

Ended up with the Audi wagon as a more practical daily, still hunting for a fun car.

You should pick a racing chat and turn it into your personal car shopping soundoff board for a solid month of indecisiveness and backtracking :troll:
