Back when I used to live in Toronto, the rain would suddenly come, and hard. Lightning streaking across the sky, full-on thundershowers. And then it would disappear just as quickly as it came. So I was constantly scrambling to put the top up and then putting it down again, with a moment's notice. There's a lot more highway driving in the GTA as well, which meant that I was constantly also taking advantage of the S2000 being able to maintain a dry pocket for the cabin in the rain, as long as you were going fast enough: but that required being able to get the top down in the seconds you had getting onto an onramp (and immediately up again as you dropped speed at an exit). And here in the Bay Area (California in general), the sun is really crazy. If I'm not driving in the early morning (like 5am on our way to the track kinda early) or under tree cover, then I'm going top-down for stretches of maybe 15 minutes at a time. In Vancouver though, I remember it was rain all day or not at all. Then you can plan ahead of time and just take your time in the garage with the manual top. Like radeonboy said, I imagine that some folks feel like it's more intimate, more involved. Reminiscent of putting up and taking down the sails on a boat. |
Inflation made him go from Ferrari to Toyota, damn China:troll::troll: |
Yeah, Vancouver has consistent rain where I would've never gotten caught with rain while top down in the last 6 years. I'd probably opt for the spyder too. I wonder if it's worth getting a Boxster if you already have a S2000. Maybe Boxster daily? :awwyeah: |

https://i.postimg.cc/MHNtWss1/DSC-0252.jpg all my shanghainese cousins think im on welfare or something now. :rukidding: I hate those cunts Gawd i miss my GT so much. Ive been looking at QP5's to fill that void. |
Yea, I've wondering if the newer Quattroportes are any good they aren't much more than what people are asking for the old Quattroportes or gts. Ghiblis are cheaper than accords :ahwow: |
New one is soulless and a v6.. Unless you’re buying it for the badge I’d stay away. QP5 is the best car maserati ever made. I’d argue better than the GT since it had 4 doors and more practicality |

the wife wants one of those. i said RR cunnilingus or nothing |
RR actually looks pretty cheap compared to Bentley, just the design, nothing special about it. Like a 3 year old drew a shoebox on wheels. |
My god that is ugly. I bet it drives well, but I can't imagine being seen in it. |
the bentley looks too ghetto fab. The cunnilingus is more austere and the inside is like a bordello and i would argue significantly better than the bentley Plus those ghetto 40k 2005 bentley continentials are ruining the marques image. |

I saw a mc20 earlier this week, that thing has great road presence, so low to the ground. More road presence than a huracan, too bad it doesn't sound good |

Came across this 2016 Porsche (981) Cayman while I was browsing: https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...658541116.html $64k asking 2.7L NA engine -- 261hp / 207 lb-ft PDK Sport Chrono 20" wheels heated + ventilated seat https://images.craigslist.org/00r0r_...O_1200x900.jpg I was looking into picking up a 981 Cayman of some sort back in the summer of 2019. At the time, the base Cayman came down to as little as $50k+, while the Cayman S came down to as low as $60k+. Taking inflation into account, that $50k+ of 2019 money mean it is ~$58k of today's dollars. So with an asking price of $64k, it really isn't that far off from the previous low point in 2019. Of course, a 981 Cayman was much newer back in 2019 than it is now. But if this 981's price can be negotiated down a touch, then price-wise, it really isn't that much more expensive than the previous low point. |
Not a good buy, but depends how badly you want one .. listed at $79.5K https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...6922681326026/ https://scontent.fcxh3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...GA&oe=64EEADBF |
