1976 Jeep 1976 amc hornet sportabout station wagon - $7,500
Rare 1976 AMC Hornet Sportabout Station Wagon 2 wheel drive
If you have always wanted to be “Trendy” now is your one chance
This is a very nice model with the exterior chrome (rare)
There are just 118,400 km on its original engine, and that's barely broken in for the legendary 258-cubic-inch (4.2 Liter) inline-six,
It's an engine with a long proven reputation for durability and power that AMC used for decades in their Jeeps.
The car is in good condition overall with a only a few minor cosmetic repairs to make it perfect or for Collector Plates
This car has to be seen If you are an AMC fan.
With its low milage and simplicity this car will be around for a long time still.
Engine runs great New fuel pump and filter , new ignition module , rebuilt carb , transmission works great ,brakes work great .
Not currently insured but arrangements can be made for serious buyers
I purchased this car from the original 85 year old lady owner many years ago. Drive it away
Oh man~!!! If I could only pull the trigger on this!
A good friend had a del Sol VTEC that looked basically identical to this -- red, wings, wheels, and all, and we were both young and stupid enough to have him teach me driving stick in this -- the clutch's bite point was totally not newbie friendly, but we did a LOT of shenanigans in it together.
I need an extra garage spot to park the car, and I have no aptitude in fixing cars. So I don't see how this can happen. But I basically feel like I am kissing my 18 yrs old memories goodbye to just watch this one go away...
I remember test driving one of those VTEC del sols not super fast and lacks torque of the b18. And it was floppy back then with the top up. Not sure if it's worth the premium over a b18 Integra or swapped ek. Unless you really want that leaky top and only 2 seats.

The del Sol had a pile of wet noodles for its chassis, the top gets leaky once it ages a bit, and the B16 is slower and less torquey than the B18, but I also feel like the B16 was the more responsive engine. And the feeling you get from either just lowering the rear window, or pulling off the top altogether...
It's a totally different feeling, man...
p.s. Oh and the gigantic B pillar blind spot was "fun"... not LOL~
The delslow may not be JDMdreams cup of tea, or many others, but me n Traum seem to have the same epic memories of the car.
Spoiler!
If anyone remembers my blue delslow, and wants to burn more time looking at a screen, I had a thread on it a decade ago. I LOVED that car, and heavily regretted selling it. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...3117857/page2/
Transtop issues, subwoofer rear storage compartments, damages, wheels, CONVERTIBLE ROOF RACK, ugh so good
Then I sold the car, who made (or someone made for him rather) this video: https://youtu.be/Umibec3tQn8?si=k8KJT4VB59CW0joJ
Me and my buddies talked heavy shit about the new owner for years about that video LOL
And eventually it was sold again, and someone rolled the car and wrote it off (I'm sure someone on here has a link)
I feel like this forum is missing a past time "car review" thread.

the one trolly should have bought only had 24k kms on it (asking 43k) 15% of the mileage of this viper green car.
but he thought the market would come to him
still can't/won't accept that Spektrums are not the same.
44k is pretty bold, but this one will go for 40+. it's the only Spektrum for sale in north america as of this moment, has some nice mods, and the car is well known in the community.
just go flog around a rebuilt car. save a bunch of cash

Only thing I miss about the Del Slow was the powered roll down rear window. That was awesome. Everything else about the car was meh......
my comments pertain to your constant disparagement of sellers that are pricing their cars at the market level for them. you've been wrong for a year about what these cars trade for, and how they have (not) depreciated. What's he supposed to do? post it for 10k less and watch it get flipped?
i think you've been waiting all year to dunk on somebody - but actually you missed easy layups this whole time. you could have driven a Mk7.5 R for free for the past 2 years if you weren't hung up on what you think the market should be doing.
