What's wrong with Camry TRD? It's Hella-functional.

JDMDreams 09-10-2023 08:18 PM

I want a trd Avalon, crown? :troll:

whitev70r 09-10-2023 10:17 PM

can we have Corolla TRD? I guess that's the GR. What about Echo TRD?

68style 09-10-2023 11:04 PM

The Echo died and was reborn as the Yaris so yah the GR Yaris got you bro

bcrdukes 09-11-2023 06:19 AM

Off topic slightly but whatever happened to TRD? They don't seem to be very present in the market these days aside from the Camry TRD and whatever they are doing with the Tacoma and other related trucks. Correct me if I am wrong, please.

68style 09-11-2023 06:48 AM

"As it stands now, Toyota envisions GR as their global performance brand, focusing on producing track-trained, fun-to-drive versions of Toyota cars. TRD, on the other hand, will continue to be a mainstay of Toyota’s off-road pickup and SUV production. This distinction makes sense, considering the fairly unique popularity of pickup trucks in the U.S. as opposed to the global automotive market, as well as the long-standing reputation of TRD on popular models, such as the Tacoma and the 4Runner."

Traum 09-11-2023 08:45 AM

Akio Toyoda-san finally realized TRD was pronounced "turd", and in his moment of frustration, he made a guttural "GRRRRR" sound, and the rest was history. 4Head

2009 Maserati Quattroporte - $22,000

As title says I have a beautiful white Quattroporte with a 4.2L V8 with only 145,000 KMS. The car has been straight piped so it sounds like a real Ferrari as it comes with a Ferrari motor at idle it doesn’t sound so loud so you won’t have problems with fines for loud noise. It still has two mufflers in the back. Check engine light is on due to the catalytic converters were removed for the straight pipe. It hasn’t been tuned for no cats yet But can be done. The power steering pump failed a few months ago and installed a new one but that one failed too. So now the car is driven without power steering but you can fix the paper steering if it’s your choice. The window regulator on the passenger door has failed and the window was left stuck open down two inches. The trunk latch also doesn’t work so need to open the trunk manually with a key but it does close. Other than that the car is beautiful. Drives great and it get lots of attention. Being sold as is. For the minor issues that can be fixed I’m letting it go cheap. Only selling because I’ve separated with my ex and now need to divide assets. Come view and decide for yourself. Will only pay attention to those who want to come and see the car. $22,000 or best offer

give him 15k and laugh !?

Paging Supafamous with this. You can enjoy 90% of what the BGTS 4.0 has to offer at < 60% of the cost. If everything mentioned in the posting is true, this is about as good as it gets as far as previous owner history is concerned.

I'm not sure where the easily qualifies for collector plates statement comes from... that thing needs work... not a huge amount, the bones are there, but it does not easily qualify as it sits lol

EvoFire 09-12-2023 09:09 AM

^ Agreed, if it's so easy they would have done it.

headhunt3r 09-12-2023 10:07 AM

I see needing to repaint the wiper arms and some body work to fix dents and paint. Anything I'm missing?

68style 09-12-2023 10:51 AM

Bodywork/paint are neither cheap nor easy

trollface 09-12-2023 11:54 AM

Judging by all the raging pieces of crap with collectors plates at the local car shows, that will pass with flying colors.

Badhobz 09-12-2023 11:59 AM

if i riced out a 91 prelude back in 1991, does it still qualify for collectors :accepted:

GLOW 09-12-2023 01:25 PM

it fits the "modifications of that era" Kappa

Does anyone have any experience with how particular the folks that deal with ICBC collector plate applications are?
