Spoiler!

I would honestly avoid autovilla at all cost, just another typical scummy kingsway dealership that repair salvage title cars for as cheap as possible to flip for my maximum profit. Yes i can back this statement as my sister unfortunately bought a from them about a decade back.

Always check the car history since it is a tradition in Germany/Europe to modify the odometer. The interior is poorly made, the glove box, cup holder, sunroof were broken after 4 years.

Pretty disappointed by the chassis that love to go straight (understeer) in the corners, that was problematic when i used to live in the alps. My cheap Subaru B4 RSK is more fun and less a headache, but the RS4 6 MT was really good.

Otherwise pretty good car for the highway, tons of common parts available in Canada and it is a fast wagon with a manual transmition!

This pretty munch confirms what I believe to be true about the RS4... but I still frickin want one.

I was in Seattle for a week recently and was at a stoplight next to an old guy who rolled up in an Imola Yellow RS4 sedan and I couldn't help it, had to roll down my window and tell the guy his car was frickin fierce, seemed like a super nice dude and he ripped it onto the I-5 entrance ramp what a song that thing plays with whatever exhaust he had on it!

Just reading about you saying you're driving in the Alps combined with watching Mission Impossible last night with the train scene in Austria makes me wonder for the umpteenth time why I continue to live in Canada lol

Not necessarily a good buy but the owner is Dave Chalk whom those of you who are older might recall had a local TV show about computers back in the day. Other than the hideous spoiler it's a beauty - I love white interiors and that blue exterior works great with it.

Lol shit I remember Dave chalk

I'm not that old peepoClap I recall sitting in a rs4 when they were new, and holy shit was the back seats small. Much smaller then w203 and is of the times. But yea the Mt and v8 was cool but then timing chain nightmares? Can't you get a s5 for like $10k and still get the Mt v8 timing chain experience.

68style 11-21-2023 09:54 AM

The RS4 doesn't have the same timing chain issues as the regular S4, different motor. It's basically the R8 engine.

I came across this car and one of my friends said it's a rebuilt. This info wasn't shown in the listing originally but looks like it is now. Kinda shady not to be upfront about it.

i think the biggest knock against them in period was carbon buildup.

That's cool, i think i saw 2 RS4 in Vancouver. The RS4 avant is a sleeper in North America, the V8 sound is amazing but still have PTSD from all the issues i had with it. In Switzerland one of my friend has an Audi RS2, that thing is pretty stupid too

The alps have amazing scenic empty roads, i have been to the Stelvio on a Renault Megane 3 RS ( my favorite FWD car) it was so much fun. There is not much cops in the mountains but Switzerland is dangerous for your wallet and driving license haha.

Yup, they changed the ad "one little front end accident" LOL

^^ literally every single ad is like that right now, just a little accident but rebuilt, just a cel, but needs to tow away, or just needs a transmission rebuilt :fulloffuck: but the asking price is like $2000 cheaper than normal ones.

Figures. Dead giveaway is the inspection decal on the windshield.

"Boss needs to make a large payment, so he slashed the price below cost" :lol

US dealerships are reporting record low sales they have not seen since mid 2000's.

Turns out you can only screw ppl into 10k markups at 8% for 72 months for so long.

68style 11-22-2023 07:30 AM

After almost a year long battle with GR Corollas in the USA, I am now seeing in the GR Corolla group dealers offering incentives or free floormats.

For the entire summer/fall they were minimum $5k markups lol...

That hasn't stopped DESTINATION TOYOTA here from trying to sell one with a $15k markup on it!!!!

trollface 11-22-2023 07:37 AM

Lots of dealers around here are advertising "MSRP" and then throwing on "West Coast Package" for 2k = floor mats, fob protection and other trash.

How you protect against fobs? by teaching them engrish?

bcrdukes 11-22-2023 01:43 PM

lol

Stupid/sad/funny story regarding the key fobs...

Several years ago, my aunt and uncle bought a Camry from a local Toyota dealer. They opted for fob protection and I suggested against it. Despite my protest, they bought it any way and low and behold, day of delivery, freakin' sales guy loses the fob. Go figure.

trollface 11-22-2023 01:45 PM

If they force me to buy Fob protection, Im getting one a week.

donk. 11-22-2023 02:00 PM
