I'm surprised it hasn't rusted through, were they any good? They looked weird and ugly then and still do now

punkwax 12-07-2023 04:15 AM

My buddy had the V6 back in the day. I miss that exhaust note.

hud 91gt 12-07-2023 05:46 AM

The worlds smallest V6 lol. Wasn’t it a 1.8?

They were not bad looking cars in the day, great seats. But I don’t think anything about them really stood out driving wise.

Badhobz 12-07-2023 05:52 AM

^god that brings me back. Yes 1.8L V6. I dated an asian chick who drove one in a stick. it was purple, so was her pubes. She had some big anime thingy going on and dyed it all purple.

68style 12-07-2023 07:36 AM

Which anime has purple pubes in it?

JDMDreams 12-07-2023 08:15 AM

Should have bagged the stick driving Asian girl, you could be driving Mt goodness right now

I dunno how good they were when new, but right around the time when I was looking for a winter beater (10 - 12 yrs ago now? gosh...), I had looked into the MX-3 Precidia as a potential candidate, and a Mazda service advisor friend told me to avoid them like the plague because by then, parts support has gotten quite poor. So I dropped the idea and went to look for something else.

Handling-wise, they seem pretty awesome though. There was a guy driving one of them at the autox back in the day, and the car certainly seemed capable.

68style 12-07-2023 08:54 AM

I mean, the Mazad2 is basically just a Precidia that got put lengthwise in a vice

twitchyzero 12-07-2023 08:58 AM

purple pubes to cc2 brows

JDMDreams 12-07-2023 04:10 PM

Isn’t this the 991 that people bitched about ? Coming from the 997.2 this lost a lot of people because of the dog shit eps

68style 12-08-2023 11:45 AM

Wow that was at least $25k under market value if it was a real ad!

68style 12-08-2023 11:49 AM

Not a great price, but a decent one for the right person for a car you can easily say "try to find another one then!" to any naysayer lol

Too bad it's auto... but man is it clean

bcuzracecarz 12-08-2023 04:53 PM

"This car did have an undercarriage damage (previous owner drove over a yellow curb at a very slow speed but caused engine damage and some chassis damage. Fixed perfectly at an ICBC shop with a brand new engine from Alfa Romeo and we have the ICBC Estimate to go along with your paperwork."

^^hahahahah run over a curb = new engine. Typical italian

They're reliable (esp. for an Alfa) aside from going through rod bearings faster than normal (iirc that's what dukes said at the meat iirc). They hover around $30k for a decent used 2017-2018. I think Alfa got most things sorted by MY2019 or MY2020.

These handle better than a 3 series based on the videos and publications I've come across.

Giulia VS Ghibli for ~$30K Italian sedan?

Badhobz 12-12-2023 09:48 AM

fuck that mazzy is cheap.... easiest way fake it till you make it. All 20 year old dudes should buy this to score bitches with. Then set it on fire in an insurance scheme as soon as anything breaks.
