These handle better than a 3 series based on the videos and publications I've come across.
Yea I remember Johnny Leiberman bought one for himself after saying how good they were to drive. He still raves about it years later (he has the Ti Sport).

The laundry list of what goes wrong is long lol

A very reliable source (here on RS) convinced me they are terrible to own as daily drivers. They simply aren't reliable cars overall. But I still want one

Alfas are terrible to own in general.

I spent a day with a 4C, the thing rattled itself to death. The AC was so bad I thought it was broken, but nope. It's just an ALfa.

How bad are we talking about? I still want one of these when my Rube Goldberg vehicle craps out.

haha it's hard to say for sure because everyone has a different level of tolerance for what is and isn't acceptable as part of the ownership experience

Things like software, electronics (instrument cluster failing) wheel bearings failing in less than 5000km of ownership, and spending days/weeks at the shop for warranty, for me, is not acceptable. I don't have the tolerance for that anymore. Maybe 10 years ago I would have been perfectly okay dealing with this, but now that I've moved out on my own, married, and commuting to work (because I'm not baller like Badhobz and some of you secretly rich folk on RS like dark0821) time is money and time is also an opportunity cost, so for me, Alfa is a hard no at this point in my life.

I mean, there's a dedicated forum/thread just for Giulia problems lol

https://www.giuliaforums.com/forums/...-problems.778/

So are they really "bad" cars? I don't really know for sure. Is a normal person going to find this acceptable? I'll go out on a limb and say no. But this is all part of the Alfa Romeo ownership experience. And since you have Volvo that's twin charged, I think you'll be perfectly fine owning an Alfa You are a brave soul.

It's prob my fav car I've ever driven. No power steering, next to no turbo lag, weights nothing, makes fantastic noises. It's a shame this car had some really low-rise carbon buckets that didn't fit me. I kept banging my elbows into the bolsters. It beats you up, but you're gonna like it. I beat on the Cayman and M2 right after the Alfa. I think it's much easier to drive the M and P car fast, there is never any drama. The Alfa is very rewarding when you get it right. It's a whole show.

The new GTI is also pretty damn good considering it's a FWD hothatch. The WRX though... yikes.

Alfa. It's a toy, that's for sure.

Not a CL good buy but looking for opinions - I'm looking at 2 very lightly used Civic Si's, wondering which you guys would go with:

1. Vehicle 1 - Jun 2023 in service, 2000 km on the odo - pros: lower km's, already hardwired with Blackvue 2ch dashcam; drawbacks: curb rash on one wheel which the dealer says they'll fix, and the infotainment had like 10 paired devices so I'm worried it was a loaner or something?

2. Vehicle 2 - Apr 2023 in service, 5000 km on the odo - pros: looks like truly 1 owner, sales guy showed paperwork where it was traded in when a GR Corolla came through; drawbacks: higher km's.

Considering price basically equal (~$500 between them) which would you choose?

I would get the second option at $500 more - the 3,000km difference on the odometer is negligible.

Car 2's actually the cheaper one... the $500 would buy me whatever dashcam I want anyways.

Is mileage even a factor at 5k/2k? Barely broken in both cases.

Take the one that hasn't been messed with in any way even if it's got 3k more on it.

Went with Car B in the end, dealer was willing to haggle further on their "no haggle" price in the end.

Feels bad paying only $2-3K off MSRP for a used (albeit very slightly) car but it is what it is, need the car now. Only new Si available on the lots was at Westwood and I wasn't big on the red, and they were pulling some "the price listed online includes a financing discount..." that I didn't have the motivation to deal with.

Congrats! These new Civics are really nice inside-out. Would love to see pics when you take possession!

You've got the LC right?

TBH the Giulia steers better and rides with a level of softness/compliance that reminds me of an E46.
So... it drives better than the current 3 series.... but is it any more special to drive than a 330? IMO no
Post 2019? interior also had a major upgrade.

I'd change out the headlights but not a bad price for 5.0 V8 with MT.

What do you make of these?

2013 Tesla Model S P 85 (425 kms range), 240K kms - $19,500

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...698252238.html

2015 Tesla Model S AWD 90D (460kms range) - 140K kms, FSD and Free Superchargin, $25K

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...696493173.html

Is the Model S trunk like a Sportback ... a kind of hatch like the Audi A5 and A7?

Yes, the whole trunk and glass opens. The 90D with free SC seems to be good if it's not worn out.

Older model Tesla's are junk. 2017 and older are the ones to avoid.
