You know it's gotta be because Suzuki is poor and the best Marketing could do was spell stuff wrong to get your attention.

Poor Suzuki. They make a good honest product but just couldn't seem to catch on out here for some reason.

i always liked their products too but they were quite expensive compared to the run of the mill japanese brands. Like that grand viterra was 40k if i recall correctly. This was back in 2000's

Thats like high end 3 series money

Plus their bikes always overshadowed their cars. I loved my gixxers 600

The kizashi was a neat little 4 door sport compact with AWD.

Y don't you guys just import a Pajero mini, or older jimnys? They shouldn't be that much at auction and just add a few grand on top for shipping. I'm tempted to get one as winter beater, but luckily it seems like there's no winter this year and I'm thinking if I should just swap my winters back out.

I was wondering about this, isn't it better to import an alphard/vellfire from taiwan or another LHD country? Why Japan only?

I’d gladly take a LHD vehicle over a RHD. Making left turns are a bitch if you’re on the wrong side

grand vitara loaded up was low 30s but that was a lot of bang for buck (longitudinal layout and rwd bias, transfer case, ladder frame)

kizashi i would have one if it didn't have cvt they still look great in red, also low 30s so definitely expensive for a budget brand sedan, people rather get a subaru legacy for same or even less

Spoiler!

I've love to own a Volvo V50 T5 wagon with a manual. Exactly the size of car I'd want to own with a tonne of practicality.

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...690712444.html

Auto, not manual though but neither is the one in Guelph.

Or maybe an Audi A3 quattro 2006-2011 gen?

Also my brain struggles to flip everything around. I can do the left-handed shifting ok, but I keep hitting the wipers trying to signal a lane change.

I want specifically the current Jimny . I agree the old ones are still pretty great though, and for sure the old ones are available in LHD too, because they were all over the place when I was in Iceland a couple years ago.

Edit: I saw a bunch of them Jimnys outfitted with in-car sleeping setups: the whole passenger side folded into a bed. Seemed pretty sweet.

It looks like the current gen came out in 2018 so you've only got 9 years to go. Which is odd because I could swear 2018 was last year.

What brand swaps those around too? I don't ever recall coming across a car that reversed that due to RHD.

I don't find left turns difficult in RHD you just peek around the right side of the car instead of left. If there's a massive line of SUVs and I can't see then I just wait for the late yellow to go.

The only thing I find difficult are the 45degree merges where you're turning right and just have a yield sign. But that's just because I have had stupid cars with insane blind spots.

That and overtakes on dotted lines yellow lines. But even then if there's a bend before the passing zone you can use that to see past the car in front and down the road.

All the RHD cars I've driven has the stalks swapped, signal on the right and wipers on the left. Admittedly that's only 6 cars over a few brands though, Toyota, Honda, and Nissan.

Lee Iococa serati. This is even more of a rat bastard than the modern ghibli
Ugh. My poor poor brand what have they done to you. You used to be on the same level as lambo and Ferrari.

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bnc...699906499.html

Now this is a good maserati to buy. 6speed. Ferrari engine. Ferrari chassis.
This is basically a f430 6speed for 50k
