I always get a laugh watching people try to get out of those on a ferry. You have to climb into the front seats to get out as the rear doors swing out too wide. Elon's ego in action (along with yoke steering wheels and stainless steel trucks).

I actually like the X the most out of the 4 Teslas, but the door doesn't work in my garage, and it's well known to have LOTS of issues.

Badhobz 03-04-2024 09:20 AM

wait a minute, i thought the whole point of the gullwing doors is to be able to open up in tight spaces? what the heck

2nd on that about the rear door issues. And if you ever get into an accident with an X, good luck with the repairs. It is a major PITA and very difficult to repair, so many body shops will find excuses to not take the vehicle in after a collision.

Tight space on the ground yes, because it opens upwards. But if you have a low ceiling then you are fucked.

The ultimate in tight space door is still the sliding door, but minivan stigma. Plus there's no "cool" minivan. The Sienna and the Carnival arguably is pretty good looking for a van but it can't shake the stigma for being a van, plus they are GINORMOUS.

negative stigma for being a van?
People WANT vans, you been in the RS van thread?
Isn't it something like a 3 year wait on getting one?

twitchyzero 03-04-2024 10:14 AM

minivans are rarely cool because we hardly get the nice ones here

radeonboy 03-04-2024 10:18 AM

Grass is always greener I suppose - Asia wants our larger minivans, while we want their Alphard/Vellfires/LMs.

Traum 03-04-2024 10:24 AM

Minivans are practicality kings. I don't ever recall myself disliking them, but the day I became a dad, I wholeheartedly appreciate how awesome they are.

EvoFire is right about them being ginormous though. I wish we'd still have something in the size of a Mazda5, or even the JDM Sienta / StepWgn. They are so much better than SUVs, although I suppose Sienta and StepWgn would need much bigger engines to handle N.American highway duties.

Trying getting a mom in a minivan. My wife says no, all of her mom friends said no. 3 of those families recently got TMY

Badhobz 03-04-2024 11:29 AM

^stupid women. They just dont want a van because you and I might throw a mattress in it, and then fuck them in the back of it.

OHHH THE PRACTICALITY!

GLOW 03-04-2024 11:58 AM

nothing wrong with a shaggin wagon :ifyouknow:
mattress in the back means low carbon footprint Kappa

I dunno why na would hate bj lounge, we're missing out. I can't tell why a Pacifica or sienna is better. :fulloffuck:

Those luxury minivans are slowly making their way to the west via Europe instead of the Pacific. The Maxus MIFA 9 and Lexus LM are being offered in Europe right now, and from my informal chat at the EX90 booth, the EX90 will be exported as well.

The LM and MIFA would look a bit small here, but the EX90 should fit right in with our minvans here.

Badhobz 03-04-2024 12:31 PM

BRING THAT SHIT HERE!!!! i will buy

trollface 03-04-2024 12:41 PM

Even the JDM Odyssey would be great to have in this market - it's been out since 2013 so it'd need a big update included a K20C but at 190" and only 71" wide it's a nice size to hold 6 people (it'd need to be wider for NA though).

Hello???

Not at your Wendy’s that’s for sure. I asked that brown girl at the drive thru if she can service my lun and she pretended she didn’t speak Cantonese. DUI le gei chai Mui FeelsBadMan

hud 91gt 03-04-2024 08:20 PM

I’ve come to the realization Minivans are possibly a better investment than a Porsche. They hold their value until the interior can’t possibly hold another puke, or one last Badhobz shag until its price falls off a cliff faster then a used Tesla.
