If you've ever followed the prices on DC5s. You'll know that ones over priced

For a pre-facelift DC5 that is way over priced. The front bumper looks cheaply repainted as well. You can see that the lower grill spokes are painted. Headlights have been changed without upgrading. Looks like a front end repair.

is there any value in this? knowing that it has seen boost before...

JDM '96 ITR B18C engine + LSD transmission

and then there is this one... claims to be excellent condition, but look at all that corrosion? at least it's still in the car so someone can at least see it running and driving:

B18C5 Integra type R engine/transmission complete - $4000 (east vancouver)

Here's the carproof for the above:
https://reports.carproof.com/main?id...GbAZAr0UcQvA==

There is a $4K collision on that car.

I was looking at Golf Rs in December pretty seriously. They are pretty rare cars, the only other one locally I could find at the time was a Nissan downtown a 2012 for $35K. I test drove that one and it seemed fine, but too expensive, no room for negotiation.

It's hard to compare pricing because the cars are so rare. I ended up getting a 2015 4dr GTI autobahn for less money - it just didn't seem worth the premium. I think when they release the new Rs in the summer, the price of these will drop significantly.

thanks heleu. i stopped following since letting go of my gti, but the R still lurks in the back of my mind...

how is your 2015 so far? i've already shared the grief i had with my old mk5 so i'm wondering if anything has gotten better since.

The new mk7 GTIs are lot more refined and the stock engine is much torquier. I would say it is as fast as the MK6 R. The interior is nicer in the MK7.

I think VWs are hit or miss in terms of reliability; having said that, I would be scared of driving a R out of warranty, which it would be after 2 more years. I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

It's been for sale for over a year. Definitely not a great buy at 7700. Especially being it's at 300k and an early model. I've seen much nicer e30s go for that price. It looks like a nice car for sure though.

This one looks like it is from the 92 Civic Si hatch with Type R swap that was posted a few months ago.
From what I recall, he had no receipt for the motor and that is was from his friend's ITR that was written off from a T-boner accident.
That was the black one with fender flares and XXR wheels with super low offset.
It did see very shady when I went to check out the car.

Too much no, but it might have history as this car has been for sale for a month and I know a few people were going to go take a look at it.

If it was legit, it'd be sold by now.

Agreed. It looks like a good price and a desirable colour. No interior pics, and assuming its a japan import it may have some odd history. I also believe it was sold last summer in victoria. There aren't a ton of eurospec avus M3s around and I keep a pretty serious eye out, as I have a couple friends who want to pick up an e36 m3 after riding in my car. The thing about e36s is they aren't pricey to maintain when you keep up on them, but if you let a few things compound there can be huge repair bills that are tough to swallow all at once. Especially in the suspension bushing realm. It was also for sale for a couple months before this listing as well. I can't see a car that looks like that not being picked up if its worth it, as its pretty desirable.
