It was reasonably quick for its era but that motor was so gritty and noisy. Going down I5 would be such an ordeal between the short gearing and road noise.

They've all rusted out. Those rear wheel wheels were rust magnets.

DEFINITELY not a good buy price wise, but wow. A few touch ups away from being a museum piece.

Barely running Metro with glued in plexiglass window and detroyed fender?

How is that worth 6 bills... let alone $1k?! I'd rather walk or ride a bicycle.

I love it! 10/10 that is the budget baller post of the year.

You would never financially recover from that purchase, a mid-00's VAG W12 engine with 105,000km LOL. That is a hand grenade with the pin pulled out. The only redeeming factor might be the scrap value of the parts when that thing inevitably fails.

Is the engine that bad? Or is just the rest of the car that's bad?

I heard the W12 is more reliable than the Audi V8 but if it breaks.... hope you have deep pockets!

I don't think the engine is unreliable, it's the bits around it that is garbage like plastic pipes etc, and you need engine out to get to those bits, it's like Audi v10. So it's one of those giant jobs that you do everything while you're in there kinda thing.

You'd have to be missing a chromosome to dump $45k on a dead brand's EV... these cars are bricks without constant updates and significant warranty coverage.
