This reminds me of my pursuit for another Alfa Romeo Spider two years ago located also in Sidney.
I contacted the seller, but turns out the vehicle is being represented on behalf of the seller's agent or personal assistant or what-have-you. The communication was a serious pain in the ass. It showed very well in photos, but rather than further waste my time going to the island, I arranged for a PPI at the local Alfa dealership, got my PPI, made my decision and reversed the situation and told them to pound sand. The best was when they asked me for a copy of the PPI. I told them only if they'd come to Vancouver for it. Totally worth the $150.

Honestly if you're a shop do you even need to PPI an old Alfa? Just tick off half the boxes as fail and you have a 99% chance of being right.
if I owned a shop and an Alfa came in first thing I'd do is go out to get a fresh pen.

The funny thing is, Alfa ppl are the biggest purists you'll ever meet. They'll be more than happy to point out leather straps holding the suspension on aren't made from the correct cow.

So what's so good about them? Gulias and steveos are easily under $30k now, same price as the current Gen V6/ v8 quattroportes. There's also 159/ beras you can get from Japan such beauty

The 2.0T seem reliable for daily driver but there's no joy in that - the 2.9T in the QV seem like endless trouble
I'm also seeing the FCA V6 in Maserati have timing chain issues - it would have to be V8 or bust for me.
That said, high mileage Lexus V8 in F car also have timing chain/guide issues and valley leaks so at the end of the day.... pick the spice that excites you.

Does this 2018 911T (35,000km) seem to be really well priced? I'd like the 18 way Sport Plus seats but otherwise this seems like a good deal.

I wish I waited and picked up this E88 example. Having to address the oil leaks slowly myself is not a fun time. Given the work put in, I think this is a good price. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...1360073757709/
I talked to him a bit and he has sport seats and some other goodies that he can include for extra as well. Buy this, and an M sticker to join in on the M photoshoot |

This thread makes me sad.

I hum and ha over that. The 2 seater really kills it for me. It's really not fast, and unless you dump a bunch of money in to engine swap, there's really no point. I think a Honda fit gets similar mpg but way more practical and has parts support.

I had a CRZ back in the day. You can get a HKS supercharger for the stock 1.5L engine but that's like 5k easy. I'd say a Honda Fit is more fun and still has good fuel mileage.
At this age, the hybrid parts might be worn out and cost a fortune to replace.

I don't think a CRZ is supposed to be fast.

I considered a white one a bit back, research said to prep for hybrid battery replacement (2K~3K) but everything else is pretty standard. Suspension may need refreshing, etc. I will say the design aged incredibly, still stands out for a 12+ year old car

You're going to hear it. Entry level car, not a lot of sound deadening.
