Unsure if this is a good deal or not, especially with no mention of what engine it has, but not a lot of cars from 01 with 87k on them these days.

seems like the seller is being intentionally vague which makes me think it's a 325 not a 330

pretty sure you could get both in 2001/02

looks clean i guess

EDIT: internet says the 330 would have chrome surrounds on the guages - which makes me think even more this is a 325 and the seller is a dik

JDMDreams 06-27-2024 04:06 PM

It's a 5 speed I think so 325?

Man.. that seems like a crazy deal for a well sorted, 30k km S54 Z3m.

Damn, asking 30 took 20… I guess he must’ve really needed it gone. At least someone got it steal of a deal.

Poorman's TL-S? Never even knew the sedan came in 6spd V6. Might even be quicker than a TSX stock.

No, my pre-facelift 330ci had a ZF5 as well. To that same degree, so did the E36 M3 lol. Facelift E46 however received a 6 speed.

Agreed on this. And yes, 01/02 you could get a 325 and a 330. Buddy from here had a 01 325 and I had a 02 330.

I never noticed the gauges between the two cars tbh. But now that you mention it, you're right.

Earlier 330s were 5 speed as well. I think it was 03 or 04 the 6 speed came in?
Honestly that's a really nice looking car for a really bad price.

Reliability been solid for me, see signature had two different ones. Only issue I had was vvti rattling when dealer went to a heavier weight oil. Moved back to 0w20 and it was fine.

Mpg is so so. High 11l/100kms.

underscore 06-27-2024 10:47 PM

Same story here, it's been in the family since new, smidge over 200k now, zero issues apart from VVTI rattle after a dealer oil changes that went away when I did the oil myself.

sonick 06-27-2024 11:48 PM

[V6 pulls good. 269hp for a late 2000s platform. Was the fastest model Toyota at some point during its production run.

I had the automatic, these are shockingly expensive to run compared to V6 Camry.
If you want this type, just get the TL.

Honda Stuff:
- timing belt and water pump (this car is due for it, ~$1200)
- front LCA bushings (~150k kms)
- PS pump/rack common
- clear coat peeling on roof common
Accord specific stuff
- small brakes that warp (TL has brembos)
- starter because of weak battery (TL has bigger battery)
- clear coat peeling on machined wheels (TL has painted wheel)
- worst headlights in the world (TL has xenon)

Ha. There's a black coupe down the street from me that otherwise looks to be in decent shape except for the clear coat peeling all over the roof. Always liked the look of the coupe and the V6-Manual combo is nice. I suppose a CL-S is a better bet.

Edit: Lo and behold a super low mileage CL-S for sale at a ridiculous price (but it looks mint): https://www.autotrader.ca/a/acura/cl...x=-1&modalXS=1

I've been looking for a V6 Rav 4 for a while, the tow bar on that one looks rusty as fuck, over all it looks kinda beat. All the ones for sale are high km and beat. Maybe look for a venza or Highlander?

I kinda wanted that Gen Accord too for the space ship looks, it's impossible to find a good mt tl, and the cl looks ugly with the slopping assless rear end.

Badhobz 06-28-2024 08:35 AM

V6 rav = RB / underscore / awesome people

Only cool people drive a v6 rav. Are you cool enough to join such a club of esteemed gentlemen ? Well ? Are you !!!!?!?

bcrdukes 06-28-2024 08:42 AM

yeah clean low kms one are rare, and demand a premium.

When I had the 2007 Sport and I wanted to move to a facelifted lower KM Limited took me months to find one and I had to pull the trigger almost immediately to secure it.

I actually had saw another one before I bought my current, but literally the very first person at the dealership to test drive the car ended up buying it, and I was literally second in line. Like I saw the car drive back and the customer sign the paper work while I was waiting for my test drive lol.

That too. It's great for dealing with idiots who try to pace you on the Coq.

idk why but the v6 rav I drove had pretty bad road noise

i'd go for an older gen RX hybrid

hud 91gt 06-28-2024 10:53 AM

V6 Rav. Best Car Ever! vVti rattle as well, fixed with high mileage oil. Great gas mileage and power to boot!

red kryptonite 06-28-2024 11:00 AM

Ya the red one seems to have a pretty banged up passenger door or maybe just the reflection.
Has the 4th Gen 4 runner v6 dropped down to under 10k yet? Maybe I should keep an eye out for one of those.
Not too sure if a hybrid at that price will be a good idea, probably needs battery servicing.
How are the mdx rdx cx5 cx3

Are the Canadian models seeing the rear diff failures that we're seeing the US?

Thing is Toyota hybrid servicing is SO cheap now, the battery rebuild kits are like 2k and you can do it in your driveway

If you're saving 4L/100km, that's $10.
You get your payback in 20k kms or a year ... and you get to say it has a new battery with 3 year warranty or lifetime.
