That's a disgusting combo IMO. That stitching is way too thick.

roastpuff 07-04-2024 01:31 PM

You take that back! The baseball glove stitch style is a classic, and lovely!

Badhobz 07-04-2024 01:36 PM

yeah trolly you tasteless heathen!

There was one weird ass time when my sister and my Dad went to Mazda in Richmond and came home with a Protege5 for her that had the same baseball stitched leather seats.

I went through the invoice with my Dad and figured out they super suckered him on warranty and other shit they didn't explain and he never signed for, charged him like $10,000 extra and under some consumer protection thing I made the dealership take the car back and refund him...

But it always stuck in my mind that I never ever saw any other Protege5 in my life that had those seats in it, was super weird.

trollface 07-04-2024 05:17 PM

I'd refund it too if i saw baseball stitch in orange.

Those seats look terrible. Just because it was an OEM option doesn't mean it was a good one.

I saw this on the lot when I went to test their integra a spec. If it was manual I would have bought it already to troll myself.

Big agree, that in no way flows or goes well with the rest of the car. It looks like a total afterthought. There is not an ounce of leather, brown, or wood trim anywhere. They just plunked a wad of orange leather in a plastic black interior and threw on some massive stitching that's nowhere else in the car.

It's rare for a reason.

2016 Miata - Red exterior/tan interior for $25k. It has a new transmission in there (the 2016 tranny was super fragile) which I see as a plus. Seems like pretty reasonable pricing considering some NCs list for nearly this much.

JDMDreams 07-06-2024 09:29 PM

Any gotchas to look for? Seems like great value if you can get it for close to $20

Badhobz 07-07-2024 04:10 AM

The gotcha is you can get a new one for 36k. A 2024…. Nd3. 36k stripper base in a manual. Why would anyone bother doing this used car for 25k that’s almost 10 years old and heavy on the KMs when you can just lease a brand new miata for like 700 bucks a month.

bcrdukes 07-07-2024 06:22 AM

I am reading super fragile transmission as a bad thing. :lol

The early NDs shouldn't be launched. Mazda went to something like 4 or 5 revisions for the trannies.

For some of us peasants 50k is not a lot of km and paying 50% more for a new one is a lot of money :lol

JDMDreams 07-07-2024 08:42 AM

I was watching a review last night and they said there's been 6 revisions in the nd for tranny. And yes not everyone makes big bucks shipping stolen cars and going on strike every year:troll:FeelsBadMan

I should go check one out, I didn't know they were only $36 I thought the price was closer to $50 like the 86 anything is $50+ now a days

You get one with decent options it creeps up in the 40s easily. The RF is also a chunk more than the soft top

Big diff in spec between a stripper ND3 and that ND1 though and I don't think 46k km is much in this case. Red/tan is a pretty spec you can't get anymore and with used prices on Miatas being what they are you can drive that 2016 for a few years and lose almost nothing on it.

There's always this 2022 Ferrari Portofino with 9000 clicks on it: https://www.facebook.com/share/wukcghTtfRHjwuZK/
