my limited knowledge of this vehicle is that it is safe, but unreliable, and boring to drive.

Any transverse engined SUV will be pretty boring to drive.

Problem with volvo of this particular generation is always transmission and the seal between it and the engine.

Not that many 7 seaters SUV of in this era.. the other is the Disco which is even worse in reliability.

Not sure if this and been posted already as I don't frequent this thread. Outside of the gigantic fridge on the front - what a sleeper! For me the price is a little on the high side especially considering you could get a nicely equipped rhd supra among other things for that money.

StanleyR nailed it; weak transmission.

That truck was brought up from Washington and bought for $5000 or $6000 only haha

^ I believe the owner that boosted it was local and owns an auto repair shop in Langley. Forcefed was involved with the work on it when it was here. You are saying it went to the US afterwards and then came back up?

Why would the Infiniti dealership have a brand new 2015 Brabus S63? Kind of weird.

sprint/firefly turbos come in at a close second, but they tend to suffer from shoestring budgets... but there are still a few good ones out there though:

The Swift GT and firefly are great cars. The firefly turbo is definitely a hidden gem.

R. Mutt 01-29-2015 09:57 PM

While we're at it, a toyota starlet GT is a nice option as well. Always had a soft spot for these cars and they're a fun little cars:

Temped to buy one as a daily as I bet they can't be that expensive to import.

The_AK 01-29-2015 10:11 PM

Ahhhhhhhh the Swift, i remember back in the day when my dad used to have one. It was hilariously agile and although it wasn't the prettiest thing my dad had fun with it. I'm gonna bring it up to him next time I talk to him

Yah agree the car is meant to be enjoyed at its current state.

Low km NSX prices are spiking up and the shitty exchange rate is an extra kick in the balls plus the 18% taxation/duty at the border.:heckno:
Ive read that the shitty canadian currency will stay or even go as low as .75 for the rest of the year. Very very bad year for buying cars down south.

I actually found 2 NSX that's just been hiding for the past 4-5 years. Its a combo deal the black one is complete (150k miles) while the red is a parts car (50k miles). Next week I'm going to do an oil change and start it up inspect if the frame is good and if it is it will be a done deal!

Mr.Money 01-30-2015 05:15 AM

whoa i wonder what the story is on the red nsx...i see the mirror is folded, but its not missing any paint
