180kW, great reliability, and chargers all over the place.

2023 complaints about showing up to Electrify Canada/America and not being able to charge are also null now.
Have never not gotten a charge at full speed now.

I don't really plan to charge outside unless other than on a roadtrip, so it's kind of null for me.

Either ways, don't have an EV, I'll just drive by all the charging stations and just go to a gas station

AstulzerRZD 11-20-2024 12:41 PM

Rly the min requirement is charging stops every 30-60 mins of driving to feel secure, 4 stalls or more.

I think once the BMWs have supercharger access, road tripping will be fine.
Right now, the 2 stall statiosn BC Hydro has in interior is a bit rough but all their new shit has like 4/8+ stalls.

AstulzerRZD 11-20-2024 12:47 PM

These days in US, you can consistently charge 15 minutes and get 3 hours of driving.

These idiots found that EVs were only 2 hours behind gas car after 50 hours of driving.
We have really come so far

but but..... ev's are gay.

AstulzerRZD 11-20-2024 01:44 PM

Preaching to the choir my guy

IMO main advantage is being able to rip it wihtout waking the girlfriend up / her asking why i'm driving so fast.
Adaptive cruise also way smoother

westopher 11-20-2024 04:22 PM

I bet the guy in the m3 enjoyed himself the most though.

if that's as clean as it looks, and the receipts are legit that's the best CL find i've seen in a long time.

what a great winter mobile

JDMDreams 11-28-2024 02:12 PM

Lol just make sure you have another $5000 on hand and the engine goes, so basically it's a $10000 car

radeonboy 11-29-2024 10:39 AM

This seems like a lot of (straight line) performance for $50k with 15,000km and no-accident claims.

Why would you rebuild. It's disposable when the purchase price is 5k. Perfect example of when someone says they'll own the car until they run it into the ground.

Can confirm. I loved sliding mine around in the snow. The dealer gave us more than that as a trade in.. and I would say (if they had bothered to ask) that both the transmission and the head gasket were on their way out.

JDMDreams 11-29-2024 01:29 PM

^ was it you that posted about what to do with the broken legacy like 2 years ago?

Dbone 11-29-2024 07:13 PM

Yeah, and that K-Seal stuff in the coolant worked a treat for the head gasket. The dealer test drove it, got it up on the lift and asked zero questions. I absolutely would have told him everything but he didn't care. They just put it up for auction and a dodgy local dealer picked it up. The Kingsway-like dealer that bought it called me asking about the transmission and I told him everything about it and the head gasket and he listed it for twice what the dealer paid me. No idea what he fixed.

I don't feel bad because the price Mazda bought it from us was about the price of a solid one minus the repairs, and I'm going to assume the mechanic that checked it out knew what he was looking at. I wouldn't have done with a private sale though.

JDMDreams 11-29-2024 07:18 PM

They would give your info to the Kingsway dealer? Sounds sus

Dbone 11-29-2024 08:05 PM

This is in Nanaimo.. and yeah, I agree it's sus. The dude from the non-OE dealership seemed to think I put the car up for auction. I assumed it was a paperwork screwup and moved on.

The looks and the driving experience and the build quality.

EV6 GT is a good experience - you can get oversteer even with ESP on, damping is good, brakes last a couple laps, roomy, rides better and quieter than any Tesla (incl Highland Model 3) for daily driver.

Range takes a huge hit tho, regular one gets 500km ... GT gets 330km range, 300km cold and 250 on winter tires - isn't enough for Whistler and back in 1 charge.

Taycan already hitting 4XXXX USD, has more range, even better charging, etc.

JDMDreams 11-30-2024 08:07 PM

Sort of want taycan but it looks so ugly, maybe wagon. Same with e tron looks like someone stepped on it and squished it

If it's $5K it's going junkyard / partout. Twas a $5K lease

tofu1413 12-04-2024 08:37 AM

yep. on those 5k cars, might as well scrap / dispose it.

a tow / diag will end up 10% of the car anyways. Better off parting / sell for parts.
