Winter beater anyone???
Comes with additional set of winter wheels

If this popped up over the weekend when I was over, I probably would’ve picked it up instead of buying winter wheels :lawl:

Here's what you can do to the guy behind you. You might need 3 of these, one for the left, one for the right and one behind.

JDMDreams 01-02-2025 04:51 PM

Seems mid for a narrow body?

Qmx323 01-02-2025 06:31 PM

996.2 C4S start at $66,000ish.

This one's been listed for at least a month. Could probably get this done for $45-46~.

There's a 02 C4S in QC for $42! With 180Km

This is not a C4S widebody. The narrowbodies are way more common and way cheaper. Seems like a nice car but I also don't feel that's a crazy deal.

Wouldn't you pay more for a 997 at that point?

Friend bought a PDK 997.1 S for $50K, 66,000KM, is the manual tax worth it?

dark0821 01-06-2025 09:50 PM

Depends, if its gonna be your daily... i will say pdk is fine

But if its gonna be your weekend / garage queen... might as well pay for the 3rd pedal... I mean i would... its gonna be a point A to point A car... I am not racing no body... I rather have the engagement and be slow... i am shitty driver to begin with, pdk wont help me reach my destination any faster loloololol

trollface 01-07-2025 06:26 AM

You don't choose to race, sometimes race chooses you.

Is not widespread but I've seen some PDK go bad with age/kms now
If getting 997 with good steering, should really get the stick shift

westopher 01-07-2025 06:59 AM

You aren't gonna have transmission issues before you have motor issues most likely. Gotta get the boroscope out

Badhobz 01-07-2025 07:00 AM

isnt 997.2 the one to get? the one that has the IMS fix (but still bore scores?)

plus the updated interior looks better..... whooops, i mean stupid lousy beetle, they all suck.

AstulzerRZD 01-07-2025 07:26 AM

Yep, 981 GTS was really numb for me - I’d just got for the PDK and call it a day

997.2 is the one to get unless you’re going for a Mezger engined 911

I think .2 is pretty save from the bore scoring in comparison.

Badhobz 01-07-2025 08:11 AM

o really?

so that's the last good beetle to get.

plus you dont have the fat beetle look of the fewer ones and hydraulic tasty steering with a lot more analogue interactions.

Wonder if it still tries to kill you like the 996. That super light front end, and unpredictable back end is no bueno for me.

The 997 is the exact same as the 996 from a handling perspective, they have a huge number of shared suspension components and all can be retrofit from one to the other.

The 991 is when they lengthened the wheelbase and moved the engine forward... aka slowly started to improve the critical shortcoming of the 911.

People said Throttle actuators and rod bearings go bad on E92 M3's since 2017-2018, yet it's been 6-8 years later and half the M3's on marketplace don't have them replaced

Are all these issues more reliable than we think
