Vancouver cars are under driven and under stressed

They see like 5% of the trauma of LA/NY cars

trollface 01-07-2025 09:24 AM

Im under a lot of stress

AstulzerRZD 01-07-2025 09:42 AM

They run a rehab for former WRX/Sti owners

EvoFire 01-07-2025 10:36 AM

Almost every performance car is going to have a gotcha. You aren't driving a understressed ratrolla from the 90s that makes 100hp.

E46 - rear subframe, rod bearings, vanos
E9xM - rod bearings, throttle actuators
All Porsches - Bore scoring, especially if it sits a lot
Early AMG 6.2 - head bolts
Audi R8 - rear subframe
Nissan Z - It's a nissan

Does that mean we don't have to worry about PDK/Throttle actuators I haven't really seen any R8's go down either.

We don’t even have potholes to crack the R8 front subframes
https://carltonbale.com/definitive-g...cement-plates/

Throttle actuators aren’t a big deal - rod bearings are tho.
I wouldn’t worry about the PDK

westopher 01-07-2025 12:19 PM

No they are just being sold with a 6k bill for a new owner lol

Buy a Type R. No gotcha there. At least not for spirited street driving LOL. Guess it's not a real performance car.

bcrdukes 01-08-2025 11:24 AM

VPD will catch you. :troll:

trollface 01-08-2025 11:33 AM

A lot of Type R has the issue where the engine spins the front wheels.

Affects all generations.

Cooling issues. Though FL5 seems to have fix that. So get a FL5 is the moral of the story.

You should see cars on the island particularly in Victoria. Those cars live the life of luxury being driven by seniors on slow roads with great weather. They make for great used cars.

JDMDreams 01-08-2025 02:17 PM

I thought Victoria cars tend to rust more with all the salt in the air?

trollface 01-08-2025 03:17 PM

Lots of really mint cars over there. It is not saltier than Van really. Old ppl just don’t drive when the weather is bad. Cars never see weather or salt.

Plus, old ppl are easy to take advantage of.

Badhobz 01-08-2025 03:55 PM

^not that murano cross cab motherfucker in Saanich or whatever the fuck.... fuck him and all cross cab mofos

JDMDreams 01-08-2025 04:01 PM
