Not a bad price and the carfax shows decent service history but if something breaks...

Aren’t these things like stupidly unreliable ?!

Though so far so good, I live 2 blocks from Burnaby RCMP deerlake so all my transactions are done there~~ hahaha

ive always used a different account for FBM, my alias dates back to 2007.
its great, u can mess around with the lowballers and lowball a crackhead's "questionable" item.
most importantly, i dont need people in my circle knowing what im selling. dont need friends and coworkers making me an offer. dont need to family questioning if im hurting for money when im trying to sell a pair of shorts for $15 instead of just donating it.

There's an option to exclude visibility from your FB friends - not sure how well that works though.

@roastpuff, would your wife accept a X5 if it was purple? It's already set up for towing.

Ooh BMW individual? me likely

roastpuff 01-16-2025 09:49 PM

Purple? She'd probably go for it lol. We aren't looking to buy this year though... too many other things on the budget. That is a nice setup. I like!

JDMDreams 01-16-2025 10:29 PM

The interior looks pretty standard for an individual, and I wouldn't really call that purple

Unfortunately individual spec could just be limited to ext. colour nowadays.

ie. Champagne Quartz

roastpuff 01-17-2025 07:34 AM

I'm one of those guys who researches the SHIT out of anything I'm remotely interested in.

Ask me about dishwashers and washing machines.

Badhobz 01-17-2025 07:45 AM

I will later this year. My folks need a new washer and dryer setup but they want the integrated top load one for some reason. Their current Bosch front load has been working for 10 years and my mom is a nut job clean freak who washes shit everyday

I think that's called Aubegine, it's not really individual as it was offered as part of the regular set of colours, you just pay more for it. Looks better in pictures than it does in person.

trollface 01-17-2025 08:13 AM

Aubegine as in egg plant?

Has anyone played the game hide the Aubegine

EvoFire 01-17-2025 08:16 AM

Yes aubegine as in eggplant, that purple is pretty eggplant.

radeonboy 01-17-2025 08:18 AM

VIN decoder shows the color as Ametrin Metallic, which is an "Individual" color like Dravit Grey or Tanzanite Blue.

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/at...0&d=1592574086

The X5 lineup does have more exclusive Individual colors, but I think it was a $5,000 option IIRC:

I use my real profile on FB - I ain't selling nothing sketchy. Reviews matter to me - there are a lot of fake accounts (dormant accounts that have been taken over in particular). I always check to see if the person is actually local and is at least semi-active on FB.

Re: selling privately - I've sold 5 cars so far and have had little trouble in my dealings. Every person who has actually shown up to see the car ended up buying it - one even flew from Ontario with his wife to get it (my NB). I've had a few no shows but most people at least message me in advance to tell me they are not making it. Of course all the cars I've sold have been listed for less than $12k.

It's Ametrin Metallic, a BMW Individual colour. I managed to find the VIN with the package/option info.

^ how much research have you been doing on golf r :joy::troll:

AstulzerRZD 01-17-2025 10:48 AM

So that X5 actually has most of the executive package as well.
It is, however, missing:

ZPK - Parking Assistance for tight lots & downtown
[0ZX3] 360 Camera
[05DN] automatic parallel park (IMO BMW makes the best one).

ZDY - Driving Assistance for if you spend a lot of time crossing bridges in Vancouver.
[05AU]Adaptive Cruise, front cross traffic alert.
[05AR]Auto lane keep (can be hands free), extended traffic jam assist.

ZLS - Luxury Seating Package
[0453] Ventilated seats
[0456] Multicontour seats

Other options missing:
[02VR] 2 axle air suspension
[0328] Running boards
[03AC] Factory hitch
[0300] Space saver spare
[04T7] Fromt massaging seats
[0688] Harmon Kardon (though this is not good in the X5, distorts at mid volume)

As someone who is more pleb than you, research early, and watch for deals as you save up to buy, so that when a deal comes up you're ready to pull the trigger. This goes for planned purchases, impulse buys are a little different and I just go by word of mouth

for washing machine....are the all-in-one washing drying machines any good. Pretty convenient to just throw it in and come back hours later when you're busy with so many other things in life.

Yeah it's a bit of a weird build, it's like someone really went a la carte with what they wanted and nothing more. Definitely not a stock order for a dealer!

Miele for over $1000 as well, ASKO is one that I see more now.

I haven't done much research about the all in one washing machines, but what I heard is that the cycle is really long, capacity is not great, and the dryers for the heat pump ones aren't really... dry.

Wow this blow BMW individual builds out of the water. I knew MB had a similar program, but it's more rare than BMW individual or maybe cause I'm not into Mercs

Quote:

Per the requests, here are some more photos including some original pictures of the car when it was going through the AMG Designo Performance Studio facility. Shortly after I bought the car, I was contacted by the head of Designo North America who said I had just bought a very special car.

I had been searching for an E63 wagon for a while. In 2020, I finally joined the 209 owners club group on IG where the 2012-13 registry is available. I started searching vin numbers on Google of all the white cars. That led me to a phone number. I called it and when they picked up, I said "you don't know me but is there any chance you have a white 2012 E63 wagon?" He replied that he did and when I asked if he would sell, he said "probably. But you wouldn't want this one because it has 180k.." I explicitly recall thinking he was going to say miles as my heart sank but what he was saying was $180k sticker price. I immediately responded with that's impossible. But he went on to tell me about the car. When he told me it had a full interior the color of a basketball (my absolute favorite interior color of all time, I knew I had to have it. Turns out he knew who I was from BAT and we made a deal. I picked up the car the next day as it was already in VA.

The MSRP wasn't for a flex. I didn't buy it new. It's just almost unbelievable that someone did this in 2012. He ordered 2. His and hers. But only his got the interior. Which is all leather and Alcantara! Literally no plastic surface except the console which are black pieces. Designo also did the trim and wheels in white and the CCB calipers in yellow.

Interesting fact: Mercedes wouldn't do the dash or steering wheel center because they'd have to make multiple for airbag testing so Brabus did the dash. It's ever so slightly a different shade.

I don't think I'll ever sell this car. It's just perfect in every way. It does everything right. Goldilocks.
