Sounds like it was handed over to cover a loan and the seller doesn't really give a fuck about it.

100k?! Jesus fuck. That car has been fully raped from both ends. Spend the extra 20k for a low milage NONFUCKINGWRITTENOFF 993 turbo. I get it's a rug conversion but seriously.

Tried to look at this but the seller seems really weird.

Emailed once with no reply, decided to email a few days later. I get a reply a week later and he asked me for my number so he could text me his address and meet at 4pm.
Next day by 3:30pm I still don't get a text so I assume he forgot.

He ends up texting me AT 4pm(supposed meeting time) while I had already decided to do something else instead of waiting for his text, I don't even have his number because he didn't give it to me.

I reply him by 5pm saying I could come immediately. He then replies me at 7pm saying that he's heading out and will show another day. Text him the day after to ask when he's available and he doesn't reply.

I don't think I'll try anymore lol. His ad says he got an offer for $9800 which I find weird too. "Okay I'll accept your offer but I'll let it hang for a few days and see if someone can beat it" ???? I wonder if that's what he did...

Red interior with a new looking soft top with glass window. Not bad of a combo. Mileage is high though

Also, his post states "$5900 is for all stock". The ad just does not seem quite right (high quality pictures of a clean looking car but the ad looks like it was written by a rebuilder/flipper/curber).

As for the AE86: Sorry, was never a big fan of them but knew it was a hot topic and car to many in the past, so I thought I would post it up anyways. I personally wouldn't even start to consider it unless it was advertised around the 4-5k mark.

Buddy is just hoping to have some Initial D fanboy come across it. I'd love to drive an AE86 or S13 at some point but the wannabe drift fagtrons have jacked the shit out of the price of some old imports.

LOL at that AE86. Sorry fanboys but these car suck balls in stock form. It's the crazy builds and power bumps that make them awesome. Throw an F20C in it and I'm a player at that price.

Yea ive been looking at that one too, perfect color combo for me. Its been for sale for 11.5 since last summer. I would assume something is wrogn with it since the price is considered low for a desirable color combo

With the crazy 12% taxes nowadays on private vehicle transfer and no more gift letters, what is becoming much more common now is for someone to go buy a car that's a "deal" that they intend to flip... and they pay the owner, take the transfer form and say they will finish the transaction themselves... and they never actually transfer it into their name so they don't need to pay the tax... so the car is floating around in space still technically under the original seller's name and then the flipper tries to sell the car and when he does produces the transfer form which is signed by the previous owner and "brokers" the deal so-to-speak. So, technically in the case of this car, he can still say it's 1 owner because he never probably never registered it in his own name. You can also avoid detection from ICBC as a curber using this method.

Long story short -- when you sell a car, it's a good idea to finish the transaction and get your copy of the transfer form instead of letting the buyer leave with the paperwork + car just because you have your money.

Sellers that do that are stupid. It's still their car until it's reg'd into someone else's name. So they're still liable for any damage caused, should the curber get into an accident.

Had this happen to my dad once. He sold his car and a few months later we get a letter from the city for a parking infraction. Turns out the person he sold the car to never transfered the title of the car.

And it sorta happened to me too. I parted out my old CRX and had a scrap car removal guy take what was left of the chassis to be recycled. A few months later I got a call the city to say my car was illegally parked without insurance and was towed and sitting at the yard. The officer was nice about the situation and I didn't have to pay a dime and only had to go down to the tow yard to fill out the transfer form again.

As for this RSX, the original FS thread says 2 owners.
Hope any potential buyers do their due dilligence and does a full ICBC history check but then again at $5990 does one/two/three owners really make a difference other than the "curber" issue.

That practice is called "bridging the regi". Curber tactics. Always, always, always get your copy of the signed transfer form as a seller. This will protect you against any liability. What if that buyer drives the car uninsured and kills someone with it still in your name. Without proof that a sale transaction took place you will be facing a heavy lawsuit. Liability is my worst fear and ICBC likes to sue everyone involved.

ninjaedit I see Iceboy already touched on this
