^ I know the owner, car's been here since last summer. A bit pricey but all the mods that make the 600hp are top notch. Nice car

Wonder why it was flagged?

Thanks for posting that info jackp0t. I had been eyeballing that NSX for a minute and definitely considered it due to the price. Great to know that info moving forward. Still a decent deal considering what else is available across North America. As heleu said, rebuilds usually sell for more and I'd certainly take higher mileage over one with a previous D&R, even with the required repairs present.

No problem
Yes Indeed you and me both!
Depending on the compression test on the wreck nsx will determine what my next move is going to be.

Motor on the wreck NSX looks like it was rebuilt the cylinder head/trans/block looks spotless!

I think I'll wait until our dollar rises back on par and look south of the border. I can probably afford my "hobby" car then...

Patience is a virtue if I go the wreck nsx route first (or @white rocket buys the red nsx :concentrate:) my search will not only be limited to a manual version.
I could look for auto ones and just swap in the 5 speed/motor components since auto are always cheaper.
Can even look for auto JDM NSX its way cheaper overthere aswell
Last week the winning bid was 15k$cad at the auction

Honestly, a 600hp r34 with low kms for 45000 is a bargain in my eyes the way nostalgia car prices are going.

tofu1413 02-17-2015 11:03 AM

yep.

that's a good deal. (even though not a big fan of lightning yellow)

68style 02-17-2015 12:48 PM

He wants $45,000 USD tho... more like $58k after exchange and you're balls deep for $65k after taxes. Way more ouch.

westopher 02-17-2015 12:51 PM

Lol why the fuck would he try and sell a car in USD that can't be sold to the US?

boostfever 02-17-2015 12:52 PM

the car is kept and sold in Canada, not even legal to sell in States, and he's asking USD? :suspicious:

edit: ninjaed by westo

68style 02-17-2015 01:04 PM

He must have his reasons/method because he listed the mileage in miles as well instead of kms... so he's obviously targeting US buyers

fliptuner 02-17-2015 01:14 PM

True but I couldn't find it on major US city CL ads.

knight604 02-17-2015 01:29 PM

ops

bomiheko 02-17-2015 02:40 PM

He could be targeting track users since the car is modified. You can sell the car to US as a track only car.

Not sure I can commit at this point so first come first serve, as they say. My problem is that I can't leave well enough alone. I'd need an extra $25k to make that car to the way I'd want it. Then I'm into it for like $50k damn near and it's got heavy mileage. I run into this issue all the time which is why I haven't pulled the trigger on a lot of different vehicles.

Zordon 02-17-2015 03:10 PM

May he needs the USD to purchase a car in the US... The conversion is shit at the moment.... who knows.

OGCStrike 02-17-2015 05:10 PM

not sure if its a good buy, but pretty rare car :concentrate:
EXTREMELY RARE 1998 KIA VIGATO/ LOTUS ELAN....14,500 KMS!!!!

68style 02-17-2015 05:13 PM

Haha oh man... the Elan........... front wheel drive is not a sports car's friend. That said, interesting read, I never knew about the Kia connection with that car before.

NotRevSeen 02-17-2015 05:32 PM

Seeing many Canadian sellers putting "clickbait" prices only to find out prices are in USD. The tomfoolery is strong ever since our Loonie went to shit.

fliptuner 02-17-2015 08:37 PM

A bit too proud that he spent so little on maintenance over the last 5 years. Good deal if everything checks out.

LP700-4 02-17-2015 09:01 PM

FS: 1997 M3 coupe, manual - BMW M3 Forum.com (E30 M3 | E36 M3 | E46 M3 | E92 M3 | F80/X)
Not local, exchange sucks, still doesn't matter. Best deal I have seen for an e36 m3 literally ever. Someone paypal this guy tonight and bring this here.

Noran 02-17-2015 11:16 PM

That's incredible. How much do you think it would cost to swap the interior to black?
