1992 Acura NSX Sport for $49,995 in Duncan | autoTRADER.ca

Deal pending on the car now :( I'm next in line apparently if the deal falls through

westopher 03-02-2015 10:58 AM

Shit you were that close to pulling the trigger man!? I really hope the deal falls through.

white rocket 03-02-2015 11:05 AM

I made terms with it over the weekend. Inquired this morning and was told a deal is pending. They said they'd contact me if it falls through. Mileage, history and current exchange rate make this car an amazing deal right now. $39,000USD doesn't buy you anything close to this in the NSX world.

2006 Lexus IS350 *****************

Not necessarily a good buy.
Has anyone checked this out in person? It's been on sale for ages and it's priced lower than other is350s with similar mileage. Besides the wheels it actually looks pretty sweet.

When I was searching for a car I saw this thing posted daily.. Its been for sale for well over 6 months. I finally broke down and emailed asking for the VIN. I got a message right back saying "when Im home I'll send it blablabla"

Got nothing, so a few days later, said I was still interested could I get the VIN..never got a response. That to me is suspicious, especially if the car has been for sale as long as it had been.

Id be curious what the story is behind it.

Yeah it's been listed for at least a year, if not more. I'm not sure about how they are maintenance and reliability wise but realistically if a car was priced that competitively compared to others and had no major problems, you'd expect it to sell.

To me, $600 is too low as some of the parts are worth more than that.
GP style front lip, wheels, running engine and tranny, LSD rear end.
But in it's current condition $6K is too much.

Worth asking though.

Probably needs a good bit of TLC and elbow grease.

Klondike 03-02-2015 04:10 PM

I bet the brakes work though.

SpeedStars 03-02-2015 04:32 PM

:lawl: 1k views on that ad. Im assuming it may be actually 600 or 1600. Either price wouldnt be too bad. Would make a great parts car for someone with a white Miata in richmond :troll:

I was looking into those a while back, supposed to be very low maintenance, reliable cars.

Nice man! Is it the supercharger that make this car a sweeter deal for you :fullofwin:
I wonder at what boost this car is set to @6.9 psi you'll be at 300 whp and if its at 9 psi its gonna be at 400whp!

Man if only the US $ is on par right now that budget can get a NA2 3.2 6speed
comparison
NA1 3.0 - 0-60 mph 5.7 | 1/4 mile 14.2 sec
NA2 3.2 - 0-60 mph 4.4 | 1/4 mile 12.7 sec

AudiFreak 03-03-2015 01:06 AM

Wish the dollar was better right now. A potentially good deal (in my case 18k USD used modified tastefully ) versus a new (2015/2016, 3-4 years newer) would be the same cost after shipping and duty. Example. Clean nodded si is 18k USD plus tax and duty/fees, after conversion is over 26k cad. New si is going for that much.

Really it's the mileage and the fact that it's a local BC car. The SC, headers and exhaust are just an added bonus. It's probably worth the asking price without those mods based on mileage alone.

I'm fucking praying that the buyer backs out but if he's even remotely intelligent he'll store that fucker and profit in a few years.

In other news, the current exchange rate can lick my nut sack.

To the regulars, I am now looking for an NA Miata for spec racing… if anyone see's something exciting please let me know :) It would be much appreciated

white rocket 03-03-2015 08:00 AM

^^Glen Nixon (Nixon Motorsports) had one for sale a while back. He would be a great resource for something like that.

Don't know about locally, but I think you'll have better luck looking for a built spec Miata in the US on SCCA forums or other spec Miata forums.

If I see anything pop up on my FB, I'll post it here. A lot of my friends spend a lot of time on those forums and they always see to post up interesting stuff that I cannot afford. :okay:
