But if you ask me, I think this one looks too good to be true. The last silver 996 that I posted was listed as it 2001 car. It also claims to have the clutch, IMS, and RMS replaced. And that turned out to be a fake ad. Now this one is newer (model year), has the same maintenance work done, an extra 2nd pair of wheels, a new set of un-installed suspension, but is still only asking for the same $20k? Since I got tricked last time, this one seems really fishy to me... :suspicious: |
^ I'm with you. It seems too cheap. |

Snohomish washington or North van, miles check out, might be a legit ad... EDIT: It's an auto in the ad. Nevermind. :ohgodwhy: |
The style is definitely not my cup of tea, but it does look like the owner went the all-out and no-expense-spared route: 1972 DATSUN 240Z - FRESHLY RESTORED HIGH PERF RACE/ STREET MINT http://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_j...MW_600x450.jpg Somebody here gotta have a thing for these, right? |
having owned a 240Z, that car puts a tear in my eye each time i see it. |
Yellow and blue... That 240z needs a Spoon banner top it off :troll: |

I know the owner pretty well, he's out of his mind, we call him diving suit Dave. He wanted $60,000 for an RX7 without a running motor, and $65,000 for an *unconfirmed* dealer program BRE 510 that he modified (equals worthless). The 240z itself is extremely clean, but you'd need to tear it apart to undo the horrible styling choices he's made. Horrible styling choices include yellow and blue wiring looms, interior panels, engine parts, random LED's, and mental ward pillow room rollcage padding. There's no price because any sane person would close the tab if it were listed. JNC did a piece on the 510 a long time ago, he cut the original fucking fenders up and flared them :| http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2008...one-ebay-sale/ |
^ gotta admire the workmanship, but the color scheme is tacky as fuck... |
That poor datsun. If the engine he's selling wasn't anodized blue and yellow, I think it would be a decent buy too. On the positive side, he's having a garage sale for all his stuff starting tonight. I bought an engine plate (between tranny and engine) off him and gave him the $100 he wanted. He got me good, but I needed it quick and it was my ony option. Haha |
Not sure what kind of value seller is looking for since this is in the barter section, but I like me a Karmann Ghia. 68 KARMANN GHIA |

Short notice but it sounds like I'll have to bomb to Surrey tomorrow, while we're down I figure we should look for a new car for le gf. So if you guys can help me find any good ones to check out or bad ones to avoid it would be much appreciated (same goes for good/bad dealers, I know nothing about GVRD dealers). Looking for a Saturn Astra (4/5 door) or Toyota Matrix (XR or XRS), auto, under 150k, under $9k, any colour but light grey/silver. We're liking the look of this one atm, pretty open to input 2006 Toyota Matrix XR for $8,800 in MAPLE RIDGE | autoTRADER.ca As a side note, I've never spent this much on a car before, any suggestions for finding a good place for a PPI or checking for liens etc? |
I don't know if the price is good or not, but a sick Porsche nonetheless 1984 Porsche 911 for $34,900 in WHITE ROCK | autoTRADER.ca Spoiler! |

Been eyeing this one a bit, just not sure if I want a 4wd or not. And I am undecided if I want an early model car so you get the dual row (terminology?) IMS bearing. Don't really care for the overpriced bucket seats, but having the Sparco mounts would be cool. And it being a rebuild would definitely help your negotiation out, and it has low km's. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/4935337145.html |
