**1992 Acura NSX, SUPERCAR

white rocket 04-12-2015 01:50 PM

^^1 minute from my house. Drove by it about 10 minutes ago. Don't dig the red but...... :considered:

MindBomber 04-12-2015 01:53 PM

I also don't dig red, but in that condition and at that price it is clearly a steal.

white rocket 04-12-2015 01:56 PM

yup, mileage, local car, condition all make it a great buy. I think I'll take a walk buy shortly.

AudiFreak 04-12-2015 03:30 PM

That car will sell at that price instantly. Whoever has the funds should scoop it up!

flagella 04-12-2015 03:42 PM

I love the red, and would snatch it up if I had the fund.

westopher 04-12-2015 03:49 PM

Please get it white rocket!

GS8 04-12-2015 05:26 PM

Anyone wanna buy the complete opposite of an NSX?

Good DD??

Rare! LOW MILEAGE Acura Integra 1991

1980 Volvo 242 Turbo

Car likely needs a head gasket or worst case a new motor, both are cheap fixes.
This is the Volvo you need, Turbo, Manual, lowered, flathood/single rounds.

Pretty sure this one has been on craigslist before when working for at least $3500

Chun~ 04-12-2015 06:01 PM

hmm...would be interesting to see someone turning this into Group A 242 Turbo mock up

Another buddy pointed out that for a car of this age, to have a mileage this low would come across as a potential red flag for him. It could mean a lot of short trips where the engine isn't warmed up properly, and there could be some carbon build-up problems. I wouldn't completely be deterred, but I agree with him, and would definitely take that into consideration.

On a different note, I also don't have a tremendous amount of confidence in Honda automatic transmissions...

1990 Mazda Miata - $5000
http://images.craigslist.org/00B0B_d...t0_600x450.jpg
1990 Mazda Miata automatic with soft and hard top. Very low ***73,000*** kms. Driven 4 months/year in summers only. Runs great. Covered and stored underground. $5,000 firm.
I know it's an auto but if you are willing to do the swap, where do you find a 25 year old car with matching hardtop in mint condition with only 73k for $5000?!!?

TouringTeg 04-13-2015 06:24 AM

Is it just me or did that NSX owner raise the price as well from $42 to $43,900

That bmw 135i is tempting if no accidents

Yah... the whole "This may be the best NSX in Canada" bit? Bitch, please............

Could've used some information that's relevant to nsx buyers; like if timing belt was done. Also it being a 92 is probably in the snap ring issue range.

westopher 04-13-2015 09:10 AM

A quick text or phone call will remedy this issue. You don't sell someone a car in a craigslist ad, you sell it to them when they see it.
You aren't going to show up as a serious buyer, ask a question and have him just point at a screenshot of his craigslist ad. (at least not with most people)

MindBomber 04-13-2015 09:59 AM

It's an NSX, not an Integra. If you're seriously interested in purchasing one then the information in the ad is sufficient for you to phone or go see the seller to discuss the finer details.

CCA-Dave 04-13-2015 10:03 AM

http://media.mediapost.com/dam/cropp...terstock-b.jpgI'm old enough to remember going to the corner store late every Thursday to pick up the Buy and Sell newspaper. Then you'd sit all night trying to decipher what someone meant by "BGPWR, MNRF, VG, NRST" and other abbreviations. The evening was spent calling and trying to figure out how much of a heap of crap the gem they were selling was. Then you planned out your Friday/Sat/Sun by how close each car was, and your priority order in viewing them. Photos? We have it way too easy these days :P

The most annoying ones are the ads that state *RARE* MANUAL TRANSMISSION ... when a manual transmission is standard equipment ... :rukidding:

Doesn't mean anything, we live in north murica' - people are lazy and Automatics are the more popular choice... Making manual transmissions rarer. I like it when I can search 'rare' in Craigslist and find the odd Manual variant of a car.

SUPERCAR Acura NSX '92, Red

This is the car you've been looking for. 100% stock, sporting a collectors plate. Only 63,000 kms. This is a Burrard Acura purchased car. It still smells new. Never in rain, always a garage kept car. This car is a collectors dream. No accidents, includes car cover and factory manual. To see it is to believe it. This could be the best NSX in Canada.
The ad isn't atrociously bad, but half of it is the kind of drivel you expect from a guy with a cheap suit and a bad mustache at a back alley use car lot.

white rocket 04-13-2015 11:33 AM

NSX specs in the ad are enough for an interested party to inquire further. In terms of hyping the car up, well; he's selling it and hype IS sales so no points deducted for that. He's definitely an older gentleman.

I can't get over the red so I'm out.
