2004 Honda S2000

Out of town and not really a good deal per se, but one of the cleanest that I have seen.

When you factor in 25% exchange rate the asking price is over $28,000... :heckno:

To think, 2 years ago, I could have picked up a GT2 for $60K. FailFish

the nice things about the GT2.... they weed out the posers and send them right into a ditch or a wall. :accepted:

except the gold GT2 that crashed at Mission a few years ago. he wasn't a rookie at all. he took it like a champ though. #shithappens

in other news........this is back up with better pics and a higher price. Argh!

Buick Grand National

Timing has been such a regret for me with the dollar dropping this past year. Should've acted quicker on something. Dollar would've went further, now desired cars are unattainable, blah, blah, whine....fuck. I'm sure I'm not alone.

but I'm still at the "why shouldn't I buy this right now?" stage with this one :considered:

funny you mentioned that. someone with a GT2 on rennlist commented whether he should stop driving his GT2 due to its appreciating value lol

tofu1413: that car would weed out 90% of the drivers... an acquaintance had one and he sold it as it was too hairy to drive. he was one of the chief instructors too with PDC.. lol. he gave me a demonstration of how it would drive while we sitting over coffee and he pretty much did the counter steer motion with his hands and ass the entire time. :bowrofl::bowrofl:

That bmw 135i is tempting if no accidents

i spoke to a friend who is an nsx owner last night and he said that car sold for $49k. the owner turned it into a bidding war and it went that high.

in other news, remember that comptech-supercharged nsx on the island? my friend heard that the engine blew up in a test drive. the person who wanted to buy it wasn't hooning it, but it went boom nonetheless. i do not know what the damage is, but the dealership is now rebuilding the motor and they will not be reinstalling the supercharger once it's fixed :(

Certainly not cheap but considering the miles and minty-ness I think it's worth it for someone who loves them a S2000. Minty, unmolested S2000s are turning into unicorns.

white rocket 04-15-2015 08:32 AM

whoa nelly!!! $49k!! Not surprised though as the mileage was ultra low and it was a local car.

Interesting about that black S/C NSX on the island. I was seconds away from dropping the hammer. Woulda been pissed if that happened after I bought it.

Thats really sad when the desire for money can completely remove the passion we have for something we enjoy.

If you've got GT2 money then you've got money for other toys so I don't blame the guy at all. Maybe he's got a P-car track rat. Money makes money and when you get a taste it's hard to not always have that be the top reason for any decision.

all i know is that my friend knows someone who called the seller the moment he saw the ad, and offered him full asking price right there, but the seller said he had other buyers who offered more. that someone told him he didn't want to be caught up in a bidding war and left his number with the seller. the seller later called back that day and said it was sold for $49k... oh well.

i have no proof of the island nsx other than what my friend said. i can only speculate as to why it blew up. maybe everyone from the manager to the lot boy have been beating on it, or the previous owner let it go knowing something bad was about to happen... best to call the dealership. maybe it will sell for less without the supercharger and you will get a fully dealer-rebuilt motor out of the deal.
