My friend got it today it after months of hunting. :)

The fact that it wasn't posted on craigslist gave him some first mover advantage. Also it was hard to tell it's a local car because it is an auto trader number which gets redirected to the seller's phone.

He got it for a very good price after some negotiations. The owner was an old lady who bought it for her 50th birthday back in 2007.

The ad was legit they were really leaving the country (the moment the title was switch to me they had to run to the airport right after!)

Everyone not feeling the color really worked to my advantage because I didnt care I Just said to my self I guess my first mod is going to be a wrap or something. haha (Bonus was the bad pics posted)

When i saw it in person the color was nice! Its like gold when the sun hits it, silver when its under the shade and bronze on sunset.

It's interesting to see that you're looking to return to the s2000 from the 335i, Energy.

:)

Dont get twisted its still a used car and N54 motor is notorious with the OFH(oil filter housing) leak.
Fun fact the dealer wanted 1000$ to fix this and the gasket only cost 25$:heckno: (Its because the Intake manifold needs to be remove in order to remove the one bolt underneath)

Lately I've been bored with my car and feel the need to switch it up. At the same time, I am just about to start my career and can't afford to get the car I really want so I can only do lateral trades.

I really miss my old S2000. It felt special whenever I drove it as opposed to my current car which is just another BMW. It is powerful, smooth, comfortable and luxurious but not that exciting. Anyway, chances high that I won't find someone willing to trade so I'll end up keeping this one for a bit longer.

Gerbs 04-19-2015 03:24 PM

^why Is the s2k more fun to drive than a stage 2 335i :concentrate:

threezero 04-19-2015 03:47 PM

^i think that's what he just said lol. Another proven case that hp is just a number on paper. Feel is unmeasurable

knight604 04-19-2015 03:58 PM

Depends if there is a huge gap but for me its all about how the car drives.

After having driven an S2000 for a couple days, I can definitely see why you miss the car so much. Its not particularly fast in a straight line compared to the 335i, but man does it handle well. It feels like it's on rails, and the overall experience is so rewarding. Also the fact that it has Honda reliability is a huge bonus too. Also like you said, you get the feeling of driving a "special" car. I live in Richmond and I see BMW's like they're civics. It really desensitized my impression of the BMW brand. I hope you find someone that's interested to trade!
