I know for sure that the cam galling issue affects all EP3 before the facelift, and I am not sure whether it affects the base RSX. However, I seem to think that the issue does not affect the RSX Type S cars.

Then again, the Type S cars have their own problems to deal with -- namely the transmission grinding issue and the less than ideal rear suspension.

If I were my money, id buy an old one again purely on looks. I hate the NB chassis and the headlights don't pop up.

The weight difference between the NA and NB is only 100 or 200 lbs IIRC.
Not enough to make that much of a difference in performance, especially since the NB's make slightly more power.
I thought I liked the look of the NA more, but there is a BRG NB with FFD wheels and GV front lip in my parkade that has changed my mind.

im intrigued by these, is this a good price? i would think it would be more reliable than m3 or c63, albeit slower

Pretty solid price, like said before, good bang for the buck. Not the handling machine like the BMW is but very VERY fast.... and stealthy provided no gaudy mods are done to it. Also features one of the fastest shifting conventional automatic transmissions

Been a very long time since I've had an EL, but seems like a good deal?

2005 Stock GPW Honda S2000 w/ Blk/Red int

Not sure if that price is considered a good buy but the colour combo is rare.

terrible price, but if it makes people want to pay more for s2000's :fuckyea:

punkwax 04-24-2015 09:23 AM

no kidding. $2500 more for an IS-F > S2000

Traum 04-24-2015 09:24 AM

It may not be a good buy, but I think the price isn't too far off from what the market is willing to pay.

Haven't heard from the seller. $13k is a good price for that car if the details are accurate. Ad is still active though. I'll update this thread with any info I receive.

fliptuner 04-24-2015 09:52 AM

I think that s2k will get around $25k, just cause it's local, good mileage and colour combo.

And yeah, pretty good deal for the ISF if everything checks out.

Yeah, about there. It does have CR wheels, and new seats. If only the wheels were for sale :O

jmanhas 04-24-2015 10:22 AM

I emailed the seller right after the i discovered the ITR ad (20 mins after he posted) and he replied to me.

I sent him an email to possibly "reserve" a spot for someone in RS who may actually be interested in purchasing the car! He is in contact with me and said he is going to take pictures of the car for me this weekend. So whoever is actually wanting to buy the ITR can pm me, and I can relay your personal info through my email. (First come first serve)

Me three! :(

At this rate, I'll never own a DC2R, E46 M3, or any air cooled Porsche.

SumAznGuy 04-24-2015 10:25 AM

Sorry, but the CR wheels don't add value to the car.
Personally, I hate the CR wheels. I like the AP2 v1 wheels much better.

I'm curious to why he had to get new seats in 09. Seeing how the car is missing the S2000 decal on the side by the turn signal, I wonder if the car has some fishy history.

I don't like the part of his ad where he says his parts are real and he doesn't do fake stuff. The ad reeks of fake or bait and switch.

Nice work!
We need to start a network on here to get cars into enthusiast hands instead of car flippers and shitty dealers! Like some sort of non profit enthusiast dealership haha.

Holy fuck, me four.

I emailed fairly late so I'm probably too far down the list to have a shot. :(
