We need to start a network on here to get cars into enthusiast hands instead of car flippers and shitty dealers! Like some sort of non profit enthusiast dealership haha.

We do. That's what revscene is for. And for midget pron of course. :fuckyea:

jmanhas 04-24-2015 10:29 AM

haha i know these good deals don't usually last. I'd rather see the car go to someone in the RS community who will actually care and drive the car! Just looking out for other RS members!

lol i texted another rs'er about that ITR the second i saw it on craigslist. now that everyone on here is growing up and has some financial stability, the good used car market is getting hella competitive lol. but i think we all feel the same way. as long as it goes into the RS family its okay

westopher 04-24-2015 03:18 PM

Le sigh. Another USD fucking bait pricing. Also in Ontario listed on Van CL, but its still worth considering. Not at the 20% price increase for me, but still a reasonable price for what looks like a very nice car. If you are selling it on a Canadian site, from canada, to canada list your price in fucking Canadian dollars for fucking fucks sakes. Fuck.

Personally, I hate the CR wheels. I like the AP2 v1 wheels much better.

I'm curious to why he had to get new seats in 09. Seeing how the car is missing the S2000 decal on the side by the turn signal, I wonder if the car has some fishy history.

I don't like the part of his ad where he says his parts are real and he doesn't do fake stuff. The ad reeks of fake or bait and switch.

Interesting, I didn't get that feel. Seats part is interesting but many s2k owners debadge their car. Again, with any used cars, a full report plus inspection are required anyway.

ugh. becoming more and more unattainable....

screw this. im buying an M car.

Westopher, that read quarter panel must be a respray. It looks better than a 3 year old car here. The trunk/hood looks a different colour but that might just be the lighting

westopher 04-24-2015 04:45 PM

I thought from looking at it the whole thing may have been a respray. I care much less about the exterior on a car of that vintage than I do of the interior/mechanical though. As long as the car is rust free. I'm going to be enjoying it from the drivers seat.

To close the loop on the blue AP1 in Victoria, it is officially sold.

Serious ragrets. I assumed it was a rebuild/accidents but turns out it was an excellent deal.

There are still 911 deals out there. A 964 came up on craiglist Kelowna earlier this week and sold in hours for over asking. Not sure what the price was but it was clearly under market. Some owners have had these cars forever and put them on the market without actually knowing about the white hot air cooled 911 market.

Somewhat OT, but got the official word today that I can buy my old M3 back :s What do I do RS craigslist junkies????

Keep in mind I sold it to him for 25K, not sure how much of a discount I'm going to get for a years worth of use... he fixed a couple small items but the car is in virtually the same repair as when I sold it to him.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0D/photo-2.jpg

Things I would change/fix because they drive me wild;
- Aftermarket trunk that fits like an aftermarket trunk :s + paint 3000$ for OEM CSL trunk
- Window mouldings are dried out 1000$ to replace
- Sunroof moulding is dried out

In the big picture the car can be driven just fine as is, but in the long term it needs new mouldings and a fresh paint job to deal with rock chips and the various components that were painted individually.

Thoughts????? Seems like E46 M3 prices have gone bonkers this year.

westopher 04-24-2015 05:57 PM

Buy it back, and maybe sell it again to me.

TouringTeg 04-24-2015 06:11 PM

What are the kms on it again? You might end up paying more than you sold it for. (Depending on if they are a friend or not)

I can't recall 100% but I'm pretty sure it's around 95000km.

I wouldn't pay more than I sold it for, I think he would be expecting 23.5-24K for it if being sold back to me... I actually find myself tempted to buy an E90 M3 (Maybe even an E92 M3 Limerock) over getting back into my E46 M3.

While newer cars certainly have their drawbacks, they have their positive attribute as well.

westopher 04-24-2015 06:37 PM

If it was a run of the mill e46 I would pass since you've been down that road, but your e46 was fucking money. Still has the Recaros?

jasonturbo 04-24-2015 06:40 PM

Nope, CSL seats were parted, shame really but the guy said he just couldn't afford the extra 3k or whatever I wanted for them.

Sold them for 4500 USD within a week.

Honestly the car was just not the same with the lame stock seats.

The important question is: would you buy it back because you love/miss the car, or just because you think it's a good deal?

jasonturbo 04-24-2015 06:51 PM

I dont think it's a good deal, I think I would be paying high end of the price spectrum.

It's a love thing... But I've loved many before, and I will love many to come.

There you have it -- you said it yourself. It isn't gonna be a good deal.

I say it's better to move on and spend the money on your next "love".

I don't think this is a good deal and I doubt it can be saved. Nonetheless, I liked a couple of the photos. Why can't cars still be like this?
