It keeps us chatting which is a good thing. Most of us on here would like to know what kind of experience a potential buyer from RS had with any one of these cars listed for sale. Fake, overpriced, etc; it's still good info to have moving forward.

SumAznGuy 04-29-2015 12:08 PM

So did anyone get to check out that 01 ITR that was asking $13K?

Spectre_Cdn 04-29-2015 12:22 PM

2001 Acura Integra Type R (ITR, Type-R)

It's rebuilt and it's missing the 2001 CDM itr goodies and the original engine. But it still has the R chassis and it's less than 10k CAD

westopher 04-29-2015 12:26 PM

I'd say that's a dope buy for something to thrash at the track and not want to hara kiri yourself if you crash it.

1990 Miata Manual with Hardtop No Rust

nice miata

TjAlmeida 04-29-2015 12:35 PM

$9000 sounds like a lot of money for a rebuilt itr.

Not if you have documentation that the car was a theft recovery rebuilt status as opposed to an accident rebuilt status.

Clean ITR's are starting to go up in price. Anything that is decent and priced around $12K has a lot of interested people.
Just look at the one that was posted a few pages back. $13K and the guy's email has been bombarded with messages regarding the car.

But you are right. Had the rebuilt status been a result of an accident, then it would be worth less. Basically it would only be worth the value of the motor and transmission plus a little bit extra for the wheels and interior.

car is mine selling it because I can no longer keep it. Not flipping it, selling for what I got it for

sonick 04-29-2015 01:16 PM

Sorry, should've been a question.

That's too bad, how come you can't keep it?

I think he was factoring in US exchange.

A lot of new hoops to import a car to the US now just for a rebuilt ITR, maybe if it was mint.

Pet peeve, especially from dealers who should know better, listed as an automatic transmission in search :rukidding:

jackp0t 04-29-2015 03:40 PM

7.5k for a running potentially straight body typeR that's a sweet deal!

He hasn't got back to me with a cheque writing number so he's either fishing like a douche or it's fake.

I find it hard to believe that the previous owner dropped the price only $200 for not including the seat and rail, but what do I know..

TouringTeg 04-29-2015 03:52 PM

Anyone here imported from the US from a private seller since the new rules went into effect? If I remember correctly a private US seller has to apply for a tax ID # from the IRS.

go ahead and pm him than ask him how much he sold it to me for. Also the price he was advertising it for was without the hardtop. I am not stupid enough to post the exact price I got it for on my CL AD. Noone ever gets there asking price.

Paradise240 04-29-2015 04:17 PM

That Miata was mine, sold it to the new owner for roughly his asking price now. He's not trying to flip it.

I offered him asking and he responded with the line that he had offers over asking, and I responded with requesting what price he needed to make a deal and he never got back to me.

Okay, that's tempting.... but without the 01 CDM interior and original engine, and with 240k on the chassis, $9000 cdn is too much for me. I'd rather wait for a better car... maybe...

GS8 04-29-2015 07:51 PM

This might already be sold but the ad is still up but it's also a bit of a drive to get there

1986 Buick Regal Turbo T-Type (Grand National)
