I'm always skeptical, so please enlighten me if I'm missing something.. So many cars sold after recent engine rebuilds. Is it really worth it to rebuild and sell immediately after vs. selling with an engine that needs rebuilding? Every ad I see where it says "recently rebuilt" or "only xxxx kms on new/rebuilt engine" makes me think there are more skeletons in the closet.

Am I alone here?

Then why the fuck are you selling it?!
I'm onboard with this. For example, that "race ready" EK with a type-R swap that has been on Craigslist on and off for years has a "recently rebuilt transmission". Cons: third gear grind. Really?

Sometimes it is easier to sell a running and driving car. Not from a money making standpoint at all but moreso to attract a larger number of potential buyers. A non-running vehicle has a limited market as the common man don't got time for that!!
Willing to sell a family member for a few minutes on RS

that M3 is automatic, and used to be listed as a salvage title. Its been for sale since I bought mine 11 months ago. It also matches the exact description of another ad on there almost word for word, using terms like "dints" and "pretty much no scratches with the same sentences slightly modified and same sentence structure. It seems pretty scammy.

1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R, Black
1989 Nissan Skyline GTS-4, Black
1986 Porsche 944, Black
I don't know how the term "fully restored" applies to a 1990 Nissan. It just looks like the paintjob was done to the car. (performance parts added is another story)
Interior looks pretty tired.

^Meh, upon reflection, you guys are right. I'd expect an immaculate interior for that price. Shouldn't be listed for more than 20k.

The car is obviously clean and immaculate. You can't put a price on cars pampered by there owners. The car looks very appealing and out of all the 300zx locally this is one of 1% that aren't high mileage P.O.S.
While the yellow is not a color I would ever choose it doesn't look bad. Car has been appraised and all documentation is included which is a good sign that the car is not been molested. If you are a serious buyer the price is negotiable as obo indicates.
Car isn't steal of the century but it's priced well for what it is. Owner has clearly put in the hours and babies it. I'm not in the market for a 300zx but if I were and if the car was white I would shoot shit with the owner and make an offer on the car.

by "shoot shit" I am assuming you mean lowballing him.
Put all the hours and money you want in a car, you won't get 1/2 of it back unless it is a very sought after classic or sports car.

Although normally I would be agreeing with this sentiment I know the owner of the car and know how much work and dedication was put into the vehicle. Price is obo remember.
