I'm sure there are some sellers that are making ads to inflate the market price.
This is pretty easy to do if you are looking for a rarer car (E.g. S2000) where there's only a dozen available locally.
On the flip side, there are probably some potential buyers doing the same thing with fake lower-priced ads.
I've bought/sold 4 vehicles on craigslist, but I think the BS factor is getting annoying to deal with. I used to think used car dealers were worst to deal with than private sellers, but I think it's not necessarily the case anymore.

Unfortunately for ICBC and pretty much most Canadian Insurance companies.. they count world wide production numbers instead of just Canadian Market. I think 1500 is their threshold to be "collectible". Quote:
