It also has to be 1500 of that model in all trim levels, regardless of how different some trim levels may be.

LOL only 94 Mercedes C55 AMGs were sold to the Canadian market over 2005-2006. Prices seems to be steadily going down. Rarity doesn't necessarily mean desirability or residual value.

That's because there's nothing special about C55. All the new AMGs are pretty much better in every way, whereas for S2000, cars like that aren't being produced anymore. Nothing against older AMGs, just stating the truth.

true, they werent as sharp or growly...
but they were true, low key stealth fighters, unlike the current ones.
usually its just a subtle kit, some fatter rubber and quad pipes (some don't even have pipes showing at all) ....

If you want to compare a C55 to a C63, the C63 is only good on paper. The C55 is a car you actually want to own. C55 has a bullet proof drivetrain and overall a pretty reliable and super easy to work on for DIY.
The 63 is 24/7 beast mode that eats valvetrain, gas, tires, oil, rides stiff as hell and makes my ears bleed. I don't know how any one can daily that thing the novelty wears off real quick. Quote:

To be fair, not everyone punches it when they drive their c63, when i drive the e55 , i rarely punch it cause i know its a waste of gas/tires .
When i cruise with my friends its another story but its rare.

How you liking it so far? | it combines two of my previous cars:
it physically bashes you with its stiffness (like the abarth)
the terrible fuel mileage (like the evo)
But blends the charm, practicality and the speed all into one package.
I was camping for an e90 M3 sedan at work, until this thing arrived. It feels less precise than the M3, feels more of a brawn and brute kind of car, yet puts an even bigger smile on my face than the M3 (i've lived with company demo M3 for a few days)
The 63' is a relatively, simple, old school approach to building a euro super sedan... and I like the old school simplicity behind it.
No active dampers, no active steering, no fancy performance stability programs.... Just big brakes, a big engine, a beefy transmission and a beefy limited slip rear end. Its a German muscle car... that actually could turn very well.
Couldn't ask for much else for smoking tires and going side ways with this face
