Yup that looks like a Type-SH and the car also has JDM fog lights.

What would you guys do about the timing belt and associated parts?

They only have 79k on them but they're also 18 years old.

1997 Honda Prelude

I wouldn't want an SH with that stupid ATTS LSD but that's personal preference. Even if it has a flawless body imo it's overpriced, a clean engine bay and interior can be done to any car after the fact. Also that interior pic looks different from the rest and old as hell. The part about no mods is a lie as it has JDM foglights and the front side markers have been changed. Lastly since it looks to be an SH make sure it's actually an SH.

As a general notes for a 5th gen Prelude:
- pay special attention to how it feels shifting into gears as the cables are known to stretch (easy fix by swapping to 4g cables and shift box).
- be sure it comes with the red programming key, otherwise you'll be paying a lot of money if you lose the key.
- they take 91 not 94
- the SH has a different block, trans, exhaust routing and front suspension to accommodate the ATTS

They're interference engines during VTEC and the auto tensioners are known to be a weak point so I'd probably do it right away.

Not only is it an SR20, it claims to be a VVT.

And much rarer than a regular DET.

Also these things are about par with the exxon valdez in terms of fuel economy. So yeah...:toot:

Seriously these things are cool in the fact that Dodge actually built something crazy like this, but they are appallingly terrible to own.

This is an unbiased review, a family member of mine still owns one.

Agreed. It should be of note to factor that into the negotiation. There's definitely a large cushion with that asking price.

I think it's 5 vehicle transfers per year until ICBC deems you a dealer(or curber)

I swear it was 6 per year, can't find anything online though to support it.
