Actually, I can see the prices going up especially if it is a CDM 01 with the full red interior or a mint low mileage 97.
But it's the fact that the car has a JDM front end.

The car is no longer stock and it would take quite a bit of $$$ to put a USDM front end back on it.
In 10 years, that car will not qualify for collector plates because of the JDM front end.

I guess I am bitter and jelly that such a low mile 01 has been permanently violated and will never be the same and what are the odds of finding red CDM front seats for sale.

Very valid points on all ends. As the car becomes more rare the availability will go down leaving us with little to choose from. This alone will help values increase. Yes, no collector status but the price he paid reflects the current market. If was 100% original it would be worth/cost more then what he paid. I don't put the '01 CDM on a pedestal as the only difference is the seat covers. Yes, it has that niche market but honestly it's the '97's that pull the cheddar due to it being the first year in North America and rawest of the bunch.

Bottom line, he still got a good deal and he doesn't seem all that concerned with future (collector) value anyway. He won't lose money on that car at all.

LHD/RHD conversion is a PITA and is fairly major surgery to do it correctly.

JDM/USDM front conversion is a cake walk, takes like 60 minutes to swap the rad support once the front end is stripped lol

We really have no idea where the ITR's are going or what will be considered the ideal collector car, here's what I know;
- Lots of these in RHD for Japan market (just >49K I believe)
- Much smaller number of LHD cars made (<4000 for NA with numbered badges)
- Only NA cars got numbered badges
- The only "Type R" variant sold in NA
- Only Canada got the red rear seats in 2001 (250 sets)
- Many of these cars have a history that includes accidents or theft
- Many of these cars have high miles
- Many of these cars have rust
- Many of these cars do no have original engines
- Many of the NA cars are missing their badge #

When I take everything into consideration I can acknowledge that my car might not be the ideal collector car to some, but I still feel like it would appeal to a large number of collectors.

Meeeehhhhhh could care less, I tend to feel like the best part about having a car like this or the GT3 is knowing I can keep it safe and well maintained so other enthusiasts can enjoy seeing it as time marches on and more of them drop off the earth.

I'm wondering whats wrong with that m3 that was posted earlier (2002 BMW M3 (43338))
Either way that's a pretty good deal assuming it is clean as they say. with 0 accidents and do a 6 spd conversion.

S2000 factory front end parts arent cheap.. :heckno:

as for the ITR, it is a dying breed, LHD or RHD... just look at how many half cuts there are on the market back then. HK has tons of hacked up ITRs as well....

eventually would be driven to extinction by theft, crashes and part outs.

I think it'll eventually end up like the Ae86. There were still quite a few around a few years back, look at now. There's barely any for sale and the ones that do come up are tidy, 6-7k machines.

Not sure if this has been posted and I don't know if this is a "good buy" or not, but I've never personally seen a 4 door ZHP in person.
Might be a good buy for someone out there.

Is this the same SMG out of the E46 M3?

They use different smg. Not the same. Plus that sedan is a bit on the expensive side. Shouldn't be more than $9k IMO

Seemingly clean example, sorry if posted before. Not cheap and some of the immature writing in the ad bugs me, but NSX.

Sorry it's not Craigslist, but a cool find nonetheless (for me, at least). These are quite rare especially in decent condition...

II have looked for a very long time for a ZHP and I have yet to see one under 10k.

Also the Canadian version is technically not aa ZHP it isis a ZAM, which was the Canadian performance pack.
