buy it for 6ish, part out the interior for ~2k. Strip and install race seats.

Dakar track-rat

westopher 06-09-2015 12:03 PM

If anyone on here buys that, I'll trade them interiors and $500 bucks, or buy it straight up.

The Producer 06-09-2015 12:25 PM

^^ i'm also tempted.

if you buy it, I'd buy your current interior instantly.

westopher 06-09-2015 12:32 PM

That was my thought. I'd take the interior (since its the correct year pattern for mine) sell mine to another enthusiast, buy a decent leather interior and either give it to my wife, or sell it. But if they won't even offer me up the simple information that a carfax would give me, I'm sure there is a lot they won't be telling me. I think there is about 50 people waiting to buy my interior haha, but you get bumped to the top of the list because I actually like you.:hotbaby:

Rust Free 1978 Datsun 280Z

I have no idea where the pricing is on these things these days. This thing resides down the block from my parents. Seen it a bunch when dog-sitting my poodle brother. It's really clean, and the guy keeps his things in immaculate shape for what that's worth

68style 06-09-2015 02:03 PM

That thing needs pre-homolgomation bumpers STAT!

Other than that it's gorgeous.

GMC SYCLONE PICKUP

Ad is deleted. What were the details? Price? Mileage? Condition? I woulda bought that in a heart beat

68style 06-09-2015 02:51 PM

^ It was low mileage under 100k I think, white in colour and looked mint... but he also said he wanted "around $20g's" in his ad (no specific price)

white rocket 06-09-2015 03:25 PM

That's not bad at all considering car prices nowadays. If it was mint then it sold quick I bet.

E46 8=====D ~~~ 06-09-2015 05:00 PM

I just went to check out the yellow m3. Drove it for a good 20 minutes.
Whole body has been repainted . Pretty good exterior wise . Interior is close to mint. Absolutely no history about the car was provided and the salesmen was an absolute d-bag. After the test drive he asked me why I had wasted his time with a test drive with no intent to purchase. I showed him the cash afterwards. They are also firm on the price. Don't forget to tack on their $350 bullshit doc fee. I also spent the money for a full car proof report . You can pm me if you wish to see it . Car is originally from Ontario , spent a little time in Washington then came back to canada. Brought my mechanic with me -

Some things he noticed -
Rear diff bushings clunking
A/c compressor extemley noisy
Power steering reservoir hoses and rack and pinion leaking
Shifter bushings worn
Engine oil leak
2nd -3rd grind during a few shifts
Alignment is off
Repair done to driver side rear quarter panel & rear of the car

Dakar yellow & hurricane interior is definitely rare and cool, but I'm happy I'm $9k richer. Just too many unknowns with this car. On to the next.

Those are some red flags.
I have no problem with rebuilt cars as long as they're properly fixed. This car sounds like it wasn't and the dealership is obviously putting up more red flags being shady.
I've bought and sold rebuilt cars. When selling I always show pictures of the damage to assure people that the car really wasn't in a huge wreck. They're welcome to inspect the work and do their checks.

Hey guys, just posting this up here to see if anyone can help keep an eye out for me!

I am looking to buy a luxury car (BMW/Audi) that's roughly around 20-21k Taxed in.
Preferable 2007 or newer, preferably coupe, but hardtop vert is doable as well, manual or auto, clean title, local car. Just looking for a good deal! Please pm or post here as i frequent this thread pretty often, probably more than i should lol

It had 48,000 miles, and I agree, it was mint.

underscore 06-09-2015 08:00 PM

Stupid question but how did you guys know that M3 is rebuilt? The ad says it's clean.

The dealer site had the VIN -- the Craigslist listing didn't have the VIN at first, and the ICBC title checker showed it as Rebuilt.
