relatively reasonable mileage. wonder if rusty. would be worth the trip to grab this

(year is stated wrong.. probably a 98 or 00'. there wasnt a 99 type R)

All CDM 00's were yellow so it "should" be a 98.
01's have VIN's on all the panels and red interior so it doesn't look like an 01.
Aftermarket shift knob, engine bay has been sprayed with a high pressure hose or a replacement motor as scene by the flaking on the valve cover. Rear aftermarket tower bar.

Rear fenders look clean but they removed the rubber lining that is part of the cause of the rust.
Panels look like they line up.
Aftermarket red ITR floor mats including the full length rear passenger mats.

tofu1413 06-22-2015 01:31 PM

hmm gotta run carproof on that thing!

@westopher. - saw that e24 at thurs meet once. I was drooling all over that thing.

1999 CDM ITR's were CW just like the 98's. I have a '99 so that seems legit. ITR's were offered in 1999 in every market they were sold in except the US. The 98's were a tough sell back then so they did not produce a 1999MY in the US. Looks like a '97 shift knob. Some purists prefer it over the 98 spec metal one. Clear corners, Mugen pedals and JDM spec 5 piece floor mats too. Rear strut tower bar brackets could be a Cusco bar? Just guessing because of the blue.

thumper 06-22-2015 01:39 PM

has this been posted already? mileage is high, but if the condition is still good and not rusty it might be a nice weekend car. it's got a lot of period-correct aftermarket and jdm stuff...

This car is pristine. I saw it in person and met the owner last year. He is a pilot and is located in Sidney north of Victoria. I believe he has four Porsche 911s.

And damn that 68 Volvo Amazon is cool

Not sure about the check engine lights

Yes, I had this issue in my Civic when my alternator was packing it in. New alternator, no more SRS light.

Every single ITR I looked at from Quebec had issues, the ones that seemed promising were just cleverly disguised... I would imagine that 1999 is just like the rest once you dig into it.

On the subject of 996TT... everyone stay away, unless your some ham fisted dullard who gets off on straight line pulls (AKA Corvette owner). Owning a TT you're forever one GT3 test drive away from massive feelings of regret. I drove a 997 TT for a week in Ontario in May and it just sucked, engine so boring. Truthfully the best bang for buck Porsche you can buy IMO is a 02-04 C4S.. so long as IMS fix is complete and the owner didn't drive the car like a total pussy, should be very reliable. I feel like the driving experience of the TT is no better than the C4S.

... but neither one is a GT3, and GT3 is just so good it hurts.

ITR due to arrive this Thursday, will post whore accordingly once it arrives.

BMW M3 convertable

I know it's been posted multiple times, but it's getting cheaper. Maybe it's not as good as it looks, but I can't help but think the colour and location are killing the sale. The car could be a gem.

I'm not sure that's correct? I have an '00 Canadian ITR that's Championship. Clean title, VINs on panels, door jam sticker states that CW is the original colour.

I think he started out at 16.5k but damn 14k that's a great price. And you can probably still bargain a little more lol
The color though. It's such an acquired taste. When I see it I think an old person drives it. I can't see myself in it for the price though you can easily wrap and have a beautiful m3
