If you like the chassis look for a 94-97 Volvo 850 Turbo FWD only. AWD can be finicky. These can be had with way less mileage, and much cheaper. (less that $500-$2000 for a decent one).
Mileage is not really a concern with these cars, just ensure they are not beat on too much, and some maintain has been done over the years.
Some buddies of mine have their 850Ts running less than 14 sec quarter miles and they really don't have a whole lot of cash into it, and so much faster than my 240 will ever be.

This one is the two tone yellow/black one that someone bought and trying to flip it.
Purposely posted no pics to hide how gross it is.
The asking price was $11,500 for months, US car with 180k. Someone mentioned in this thread before saying it was bought from a Kingsway dealer with lots of repairs required. No details. 2002 Honda S2000

I just never see a LHD FD for sale so I get a bit excited when one pops up. It more collisions and/or unibody damage that would scare me. Motor swaps back and forth don't really hurt the body itself, especially since finding another make take a while.

The stock suspension is okay, not great, not terrible. Nothing a set of mounts and coilovers can't fix.
