I think, if anything, the price on those will stabilize. I doubt they'll appreciate. Problem with those cars is the following is so tiny (like the G8 and GTOs) that putting them on the market at higher prices is hit or miss (mostly miss).

The only one that commands the money is the GXP Hardtop like the one I posted. They only made 1600 of them.

Jmac 07-18-2015 09:36 AM

There's a sick Solstice GXP hard top in a dark red that I occasionally spot driving through Chemainus on my way home from work. Not sure if that's a factory colour or not, but it looks really good.

If you're interested in E39s, I don't think you can get a nicer car than this one:
Detailed Information - Splendid Automobiles Inc.

The price is on the high side, but it comes with all the right options - M Sport bumpers which are apparently difficult to retrofit, the 3 liter that doesn't suffer Vanos issues and high maintenance costs of the V8, and new tires.

If only it came with a 6 speed.

The initial ad did not state that the car had been in a hit and run incident.

The updated ad showed damage to the driver fender roughly the size of a football. Possibly some damage to the headlight mounting bracket/tab as well since it was not sitting right.
