Haha I know they are rare but yet somehow two pops up in edmonton at the same time...
I'm going to be down there at the end of the month, if it's still there I'll take a look.... I owned a 06 Z4 3.0si before but it was unfortunately automatic.... And I've always like the coupe styling.

I'll unfortunately be in Edmonton at the end of the month as well haha. I always dread the trips back home. Maybe save one of those from that dump of a cities roads lol.

What do you guys think of these two deals? I've always like how the Z4M coupe looked.
I normally wouldn't consider a modded car, but the 06 seems like it was very tastefully modded... While the 08 seems like a really good deal.

both are great deals imo, they will only go up in value as Westopher stated due to limited production run. If either car was listed on CL Vancouver, they would be have sold already.....I never check Kijiji, but I will start now...great finds....

Although the Z4M doesn't look as unique at the Z3M coupe, they drive infinitely better than the Z3M coupe....

Rare 2002 Jaguar X-Type 2.5L Manual

Would be nice with some new wheels

2002 BMW M3 Convertible

Went to go take a look at the white M3 cab @ Blitzkrieg Motorcars.

Took it for a spin and god damn it's addictive to drive.

Current mileage on the car is 181,000km roughly.

Few declarations on the car.
Year 2003 - THEFT FROM VEHICLE $9000+ (Slashed soft top, replaced with new one)
Year 2008-2009 - COLLISION - Rear End About $4000
Another one too but forgot what it was

Inspection sheet from Blitzkrieg
-Slightly bent rear tow arm, but drives straight
-minor oil leak from oil filter seal
-cruise control doesnt work
-right side power mirror doesnt work

My Visual Inspection:

-Currently equipped with the E46 M3 19 inch wheels with a bit of curbage on one of the wheels
-Does have rock chips on the hood as expected
-Couple rock chips on driver side a pillar, saw a tiny bit of surface rust on the chips
-barely any wear and tear on the top, looks new
-drive side bolster shows some wear

The Drive

I could not believe how easy it was to drive. The exhaust is pretty addictive. Like some of the members mentioned here, the cab model is gonna flex a lot more compared to the coupe, which I felt during the drive. Also typical creeks and noises being that it is a 10+ year old car.

Smiles per gallon definitely high with this car.

If you can accept all the minor cosmetics and flaws, as well as the mileage, definitely should take a look at this m3

Those Z4M are so tempting. Future classics.
Possibly the beginning of Albertans selling off their toys and assets.

tofu1413 08-04-2015 03:11 PM

just brought in a M roadster onto inventory at work...

theyre addicting to drive. true, simplistic driver's cars. Safe to say, they are the last of the mechanical feeling BMW M's.

Spoiler!

Most, if not all of the cars sold at Blitzkrieg are, for the most part, in good condition mechanically. I believe they offer their warranty in-house and the guys there are great mechanics and know their Euros in and out. I can understand the cosmetic side of things because let's be real here - some of these cars are 10+ years old.

Based on what you've reported, this is what I personally consider "normal." The oil leak is very likely the seal which at some point in time will require replacing (it's a BMW feature.) Suspension work requiring maintenance - normal. The odd bits and pieces - acceptable for the most part.

For the price, it could be a steal if you want to put some time, effort, and/or money into it. Then again, I would never buy a cabriolet in Vancouver, so... :fuckthatshit:

The E39 M5 (aka "the Beast") is an incredible car and the E39 M5 is my all time favorite.
These sedans are renowned in the world for its unique combination of luxury and superior performance thanks to its award winning V8 4.9 engine (400hp) and almost 50/50 weight ratio, it has great performance; it handles and performs as you would expect such a highly acclaimed luxury vehicle! You'll love the E39 M5 because of its practicality -- one can transport some shelving home from the store with the fold down rear seat option and still fits five full sized adults in 4 door family sports car. Don't be worried about this being an "older" car. Owners who took care of them did so with a passion and care that this car deserves. Those who didn't, should never have owned one in the first place. Some cars have mods that you might not want and this one is untouched and all original.
This vehicle has seen 189K km and comes in a carbon exterior, black leather interior with the full M5 goodies trimmed in burl walnut. You can spoil yourself with this M5 for only $14,800.

When people get wary of a car because of us import especially when it comes to a e39 m5 ... need to think about how many of them were actually sold in Canada.

Finding one that is Canadian spec is unicorn like status.

Sounds more like a 20k+ M5 when all is said and done.

That creeps into E46 M3 / well-sorted 996.1 territory.

Silly pre-facelift E39 M5s. :fuckthatshit:

I don't understand why a shop as competent as blitzkrieg wouldn't take the time to fix these simple issues before selling the car and sell it as a car that needs nothing mechanically for a fair bit more.

I posted it earlier - my brother finally got the guy to admit that it had major front-end accident damage. The hood is sill boned. We were going to drive up there tomorrow to get it, but the dude turned super shady and wouldn't give up the VIN
