I did think about it + considered swapping it out for my car.
Ultimately it would be an easy ish flip as the same car in the USA would be 18K+ given the current market for clean low mileage ITR's. There are a number of Americans watching for these cars in Canada right now.
Having said all that, for the few G's a guy might make, it's just not my thing.

had 197k on it.. and 30k on the rebuilt motor with 20k on the clutch.. and now it has 200k, 4k on the motor, and 30k on the clutch

Everything else is replaceable. Given the time of the claim(early 2000's) it is entirely possible considering the price of parts when the car was much younger. Previously crumpled frame rails should be visible while viewing the engine bay.

True. But one could still get a good deal by doing their due-diligence with an inspection. Shady/stupid sellers can be weeded out with enough info about the car itself.

That car was hit when it was brand new basically. That means it was repaired properly... there was no jobber parts like the market is today in 2001
